Day 77 – God Works All Things for Good | Romans 8:28

0:00Welcome to Wisdom for the Day. In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady. Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong. Today is day 77. God works all things for good, from Romans 8, 28, from the New Living Translation. And at Scripture? We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God, and are called according to His purpose. Now we all know this verse. It's one of those that's easy to quote when life's going well. But it's much harder to believe when things feel like they're falling apart. Because let's be real. When you're in the middle of something painful or confusing or frustrating, it doesn't look good. It looks like loss.

1:01It looks like disappointment. It feels like failure. But God doesn't say everything is good. He says he will work everything together for good. That means even the things that you didn't plan, the mistakes, the setbacks, the seasons that felt wasted. None of it is outside of his ability to redeem. I've seen this. God I've seen this in my own life. Things that I thought were detours ended up being setups. Situations that I wanted out of ended up shaping me in ways that I couldn't see at the time. And looking back now, I can see God's hand over all of it. Even when I couldn't see it in the moment. That's where trust comes in. You may not understand what God's doing right now, but you can trust that he's doing something.

2:02He's weaving things together behind the scenes. He's aligning people. He's aligning timing and growth and purpose in ways that you can't see yet. Your story isn't random. It's being written. And God, he doesn't waste chapters. Let's pray. Lord God, help me trust that you're working for my good even when I can't see it. Give me peace in the waiting and faith to believe that you are still writing a beautiful story with my life. All right, today's challenge. I want you to write down one area of your life that feels broken or confusing right now. Pray over it and then make a bold declaration. God is working this for my good. Then just walk through your day like that's true.
