Day 71 – Keep Your Eyes on Jesus | Matthew 14:30–31

0:00Welcome to Wisdom for the Day. In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady. Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong. Today is day 71. Keep your eyes on Jesus from Matthew chapter 14, verses 30 and 31, from the New Living Translation. In our scripture, when he saw the strong wind and waves he was terrified and began to sink, saved me, Lord, he shouted, Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. Peter walked on water, until he shifted his focus from Jesus to the wind and waves. The same is true for us, when we focus on the storm, fear pulls us under. But when we cry out, Lord, save me, he's quick to reach out and lift us up.

1:05Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, not the circumstances around you. Let's pray. Lord Jesus, help me keep my eyes on you. Thank you for reaching out when I call for help. Lord we try, I try, and sometimes I fail. Thank you for letting me keep on trying. I ask this in your precious name, amen. All right, today, every time you tempted to dwell on your problems, whisper the name of Jesus instead. He'll pull you out of that storm too, okay? I will see you tomorrow.
