I'm Sarah Turnie, and I'm Courtney Nicole, we're the hosts of the Crime House original podcast, The Final Hours. Crime has impacted both of our families, teaching us how the last conversations, the mis-bred flags can change everything. On the final hours, we examine the moments before a disappearance, and the questions that never got answered. The podcast that puts the moments before a disappearance under a microscope. Listen to and follow The Final Hours, available now wherever you get your podcasts. Hey, Sal. Hank, what's going on? We haven't worked a case in years. I just bought my car, Carvana, and it was so easy, too easy. Think something's up? Shoot, tell me. They got thousands of options. Found a great car, a great price, and it got delivered the next day. It sounds like Carvana just makes it easy to buy your car, Hank. Yeah, you're right. Case closed. Buy your car today on Carvana. Delivery fees may apply.
875 91 32. It's Rashid Shahid. With his team, Shahid Bletchthrew, still doing a flag flying, Shahid needs going to take it all the way. Let's see if it stands. Now, back to you. Better you bet with Nick Costos on Westwood One Sports. Oh my God. Tipping on for a phone was good job by Kenny Henderson. Now I want to listen to some Mike Jones. Name is Paul Wall along the people's champ. Anyway, this segment sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
Save on commercial auto insurance from Progressive. Get a fast quote at ProgressiveCommercial.com. Who's the third guy on that song? It's Mike Slimthunk. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That right there. That's the good stuff. That was Kevin Burkard coming back from break with the call of Rashid Shahid's kick return touchdown to open the divisional round playoff blowout win over the walking wounded San Francisco 49ers. So the Seattle sea hawks, you know, the Super Bowl champions. They lose Kenneth Walker who signs with the Kansas City Chiefs as we detailed in the opening segment. But good news for Seattle who also lost Kobe Bryant to the Chicago Bears. I like that signing for Dennis Allen Ben Johnson and the Bears defense. Seattle is able to sign two of their own. But Seattle also lost boy a mafe to the Cincinnati Bengals. And I mentioned this in the first segment. Like we'll do more on it tomorrow. I really like what the Bengals did yesterday. Trying to improve their defense. But that this is not about the Bengals.
This is about Seattle. Josh Job, who I think Billy Corgan sang about in the in the smashing pumpkins hit song. Bullow with butterfly wings. We signed Josh Job. You're a 90s rock fan. We hit 90s rock and we got some Houston rap for you also here in this second segment on the Tuesday morning. You have to love it. Josh Job resigned by the sea hawks. So is Rashid Gede. And I love that for Seattle. And what it traded was by sea hawks GM John Schneider trading fourth and fifth round picks to the New Orleans Saints for Shaheed. And it's not just what Rashid Gede brings at the receiver position. But obviously one of the best for turners in the NFL as well. And someone who played a huge role with multiple plays. Big plays and big games for Seattle. And rude to the franchise in second Super Bowl championship. So yeah, like Seattle lost some guys. That's always going to happen with the Super Bowl champion. The Super Bowl tax. You're going to lose players. That's how it goes.
But the fact that Seattle was able to keep Job, able to keep Rashid Gede. And you have to trust Schneider. And you certainly have to trust Mike McDonald. You feel like Seattle obviously is going to be awesome again next season. The team that the Seahawks beat in Super Bowl 60 last month. The New England Patriots. And too often for the Patriots in the postseason. We saw Drake May running backwards like he was being chased by a lion. Like like Mufasa was hot on his heels. And Drake May was absolutely running for his life. The Patriots have to protect their investment. And their investment is the second year quarter back almost one MVP and all and took his team to the Super Bowl. And the Patriots took a big swing. And an attempt to make that happen. Signing Elijah Veritaker, aka AVT, away from the New York Jets. Three years, 42 million dollars. And I actually didn't know this. I think it was our pal Greg Rosenthal of NFL media who may have mentioned this.
That the Patriots in 2021 wanted to take Elijah Veritaker. But the Jets traded up to take AVT. And that's the year that the Patriots in Bill Belichack ended up drafting. Mac Jones. Tipping on foe foes. So AVT is an interesting case. When he's healthy, which is unfortunately not often. He's a monster. He's a stud. I mean, think about it. How many times do you see in an NFL draft? And you can do like LOL Jets with this. But I mean, clearly the Patriots really liked him as well with Bill Belichack. Do you see a team trading up for an offensive lineman that is not a tackle? Like they traded up for a guard in AVT. And look, AVT can play all along the offensive line. But he's an interior player. And my guess is he'll play left guard. Maybe Jared Wilson play center. Will Campbell's going to stay at the left side. Make your jokes. If in a tenif because he's had three major injuries in five years and missed all of last season
for the New York Jets. If AVT can stay healthy, I think this is a banger signing for Elliott Wolf, for Mike Vrable, for Drake May, and the New England Patriots. The last Super Bowl contender that I want to hit here. Danny Parkins will join us next segment. You better, you bet on this Tuesday. Is the team that is right now? If you look at the Ben MGM odds board to a next year's Super Bowl, there are two teams. Top of the list. One, the reigning defending Super Bowl champion, Seattle Seahawks, and the other, the team that Seattle beat in the NFC Championship game, the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams yesterday completed their pilfering of the Kansas City Chief Secondary. They should send Steve Spagnolo a fruit basket for everything he's done for them. So they trade for and then extend Trent McDuffy give him a huge contract. And yesterday signing away cornerback, Jalen Watson. And the Rams are one of these teams with less need in Sean McVeighware. It's like everyone in the world knows.
And we talked about it ad nauseam at the end of the season into the postseason, right? That the Rams have this huge issue. It's in the secondary. And the Rams don't have tall physical corners. Like how many times we've talked about a manual form is getting absolutely whipped by bigger receivers. And the Rams needed to do something about this. Well, how about this? Here's Trent McDuffy, physical, here's Jalen Watson, physical to good, young physical corners. The Rams see your lists. They read your articles. They listen to your podcasts. They listen to radio shows like this one. And they know what they need to do. Forget about their self-scouting. They listen to Nick Costos. And they hear Nick Costos say on you better you bet to you on Westwood One Sports that this secondary's got to get in gear. And they address it. Jalen Watson, Trent McDuffy, resigned by the way, Cam Curle. You'll like that. Also resigning Tyler Higby, which means you'll continue to get three tight end sets from the Rams. As Sean McVeigh looks to counter the new defensive revolution ushered in by Mike McDonald,
where you'll have Higby along with last year's second round pick, Terrence Ferguson, and obviously Colby Parkinson as well for the Los Angeles Rams. And the NFC West right now, even more so than the AFC West, shaping up like the group of death in a soccer tournament with the Rams, the Seahawks, and Mike Evans, and the San Francisco 49ers. This is like Argentina, France, and Germany, all in the same group in the World Cup. And the fourth team, the Arizona Cardinals. Man, might as well be the Galapagos Islands. And you see who's chilling there on the beach in the Galapagos Islands? Gardner Minchew in his shorts. I don't know if we'll talk about the Cardinals today, but we will do it this week. Quick break. And on the other side, Danny Parkinson's first things first on Fox Sports One, giving us his thoughts on NFL free agency on a Tuesday on Westwood One Sports 3108404910 youtube.com
