The historic spot from 1829 launched under the new British and best brand at 11 a.m. today, Friday March 20, drawing in, crowds for spring. The makeover brings a cozy classic vibe with leather booths, dark paneled walls, smoky mirrors, and warm lighting. The menu sticks to pub favorites like chip buddies, London pies, fish and chips, plus Davenport's beers, wines, spirits, and seasonal cocktails. New spaces boost the appeal, including three outdoor areas like the rear Guinness Terrace that honors the brewery's license to bottle Guinness back in. 1905, original label art now decorates the walls. Upstairs, a courtyard joins a front table area while the old conservatory screens sports. Three live music runs Saturday nights, and the function room got a private bar, projector, and screens for events.
