DART President Stepping Down, Search for New Leader Begins

She's led the agency since July 2021 and shared her decision with the board during a close session on Tuesday night. During her time in charge, Lee got a DART through tough challenges in the transit world, including a push by six member cities to pull out of the system. Back in February, a new funding deal helped convince farmers branch, Irving, and Plano to stay on board. Board Chair Randall Bryan praised her for stepping up during a rough patch and steering the agency toward recovery with a solid plan ahead. Lee called it the Highlight of her career.
