Elton suggested hitting another spot, and Vogel recommended the China Club. They all piled into his limo and headed over, where Elton jumped on stage and took over the performance. Vogel laughed about how Elton put his arm around her as they left, saying it was to keep up his public image. She called herself his beer for the night, thrilled that there were no paparazzi or cell phones back then to capture it all. She described them as super nice and down-to-earth by just hanging with a regular buddy. Vogel admitted she barely realized at the time she was out with a huge star.
