About this episode
There's a lot of firsts when it comes to former Stanley Cup Champion Dan Hinote. He's the first person ever born in Florida to play in the National Hockey League and the first NHL draft pick out of West Point. Technically Hinote left West Point early for the Ontario Hockey League, but it doesn't matter, no other Cadet has ever been drafted in the NHL. He explains all of this as he joins Cam and Andy for the first time on the Cam and Strick Podcast. Hinote has plenty of stories to tell, and he's really good at telling them. In addition to winning a Stanley Cup, he became great friends with Hall of Famer Peter Forsberg. Find out what made them connect and what eventually led to them playing together in Sweden during the 2004-2005 lockout. Hinote is best described as a character on and off the ice and. He's hung with celebrities, played with some of the greatest players ever, and is known as one of the best teammates ever. Get ready to laugh as Danny Hinote joins the boys.
