How about this nugget from Shail Kapadia, based on EPA that's expected points added per drive? The Cowboys had the worst defensive performance by any team in week one. It was worse than all but one of their defensive games last year, among 574 games since the start of last season. It was the 571st or worse. So three games were worse, as a defense than what the Cowboys played tonight. Seven possessions, four touchdowns. They forced one punt, they forced the one fumble, and then gave the ball back right away, and then the giants were able to go on the five minute offense through on the clock out. Sure. Incredible.

5:08I mean, that's, you know, that's, but that's, and what makes it even worse is the fact that you knew that the giants were gonna come in and play this way. And you couldn't do anything about it. You weren't good enough up front, you weren't good at the linebacker spot, you weren't good in the second, you weren't good at the coordinator, you weren't good at the, you know, the coaches, everybody, everybody who was involved in this one tonight needs to take a hand in this one. Because this is the things that you, you know, the first game, you put all this into it, you wonder about the prep and you wonder about, you know, hey, did we do everything that we needed to do? Obviously the giants did everything they needed to do to win this one. They physically beat you up today, and you knew that going in, that's how they were gonna play. They were gonna play with a fullback, they were gonna play with tight ends, they were gonna play with a physical downhill runner. You saw what happened when Tracy fumbled that ball, what they do, they took his ass out of the game. Yep. They said, no, not anymore, we're not doing this. You know, and they ran the boots,

6:09they made you have to cover their tight end, you know, who was like a wide receiver, the guy who was questionable about even playing, whether he wanted to even play, went out there, he let him make some plays on you. This is, this is a, this is from the front office on down. What'd you do in the off season to get better, to do that? I know it's one week, got it. But man, you put a lot of effort into this first game and to have it play that badly, especially when you knew that the Giants, we're gonna come in and play that way. That's a shame. Yeah, you knew they wanted to be physical. You had no answer. And you weren't physical. They bullied you, it was bullied ball. And you weren't able to get off blocks, you had no answer for it. You couldn't stop the run, you couldn't get off the field on third downs. You still had issues in the secondary, which you thought would get resolved, because you had to have new personnel, smarter football players and a new coach. That apparently was a teacher and could communicate all these things. Now, granted, and I get the frustration, I'm frustrated too, you guys know that.

7:10As, hey, we've done this for several years now. You don't play in the preseason. So you guys are out there playing together for the first time, you're gonna see this across the league, where there's gonna be issues and this team hopefully will look better eight weeks from now. I know, we're out of control. Come on, tell us that. We were encouraged, I mean, you and I didn't get a chance to see the Rams' scrimmage. No. We were encouraged, starters out there, playing against there, you know, but preseason, if you're going to play games, sure. If teams are going, now I did see, I did see Giants' tape where Harbaw played like his guys, like a couple of series, and that was really kind of it. Yeah. So they're these, but they also worked against the dolphins during the preseason. So you tried to do some things to simulate games, you know, a little bit more controlled, kind of control the injury situation and all that. Oh, this was just, this was just a, this was just a big time failure. Oh, that was terrible. You know, of a first time defensive coordinator,

8:11and you know, you kind of felt like, well, he could do this and he could do that, and they're gonna do, no, they're not gonna show much looks and they're gonna do this, and they're gonna disguise this. But you looked like you had the same issues you had last year. And if we remember a game that was played a meaningless game that was played last year at the end of the season, for positioning, giants kind of came and out, did the same damn thing to you, the quarterback running around, had a good day, you know, and that's when you had Quinn and Williams and Kenny Clark, and so maybe we should have learned something from there, but the fact, the biggest disappointment to me is, yes, Dallas had mistakes in the secondary and just let areas be uncovered, but just how they got beat up. And just that, that, that, that right there is just, that's his disappointing is anything that you let that offensive line who, you know, coming into the game was having problems, you know, throughout the year and all of a sudden, they just change, really change out one piece, you know, at the, at the, at the guard,

9:13and they go out and beat you up like that, that's, that doesn't bowed well for you in week one at all. Some of the play calls, I didn't agree with the reverse at high school play running at the CD lamb. Yeah, almost got hurt on that last year. You come back this year and you run it again. The drop passes, you got to be consistent. Pickings and lamb dropping passes. But I'm spreading the giants out and I would have gone to them out and we did not do that. And we talked Friday on what you're drinking, what you're thinking. Because I said, I can't help you. I said, just got a good defense. You don't have to get the ball, man. They never had the ball. I mean, it's hard. It's hard. The second half, you had the ball for nine minutes total, really. So it's hard to have any kind of shotty in the play calling along. I'm not defending him. I'm not. I'm saying that shotty had a hand in what was going on defense

11:18because you knew what. The first drive, did you like their play calls? I didn't. Well, they tried to run. They tried to run. They tried to run and then the first it was incomplete. Yeah, I understand him puntin on on fourth and one. I do understand that because to me, he doesn't know what his defense is going to do. And but I will absolutely give it to you. Hindsight, if you knew that the defense was going to play like that the whole day, by all means go for it. By all means go for it. But if you get stopped right there and give that if you give that offense who just really kicked your ass all night, you give them that a short field and they get points. We're going to blame shotty for that, aren't we? Yeah, I mean, or your players. Yeah, I would. Yeah, I mean, absolutely half a yard. If you can't get that with that press God and Cooper being a Tyler Booker and even TJ Bass, who we all said all we and the ball game is not the issue and the ball and the ball's on

12:19the one yard line and we're going to in shot. You know that kind of thing. They also did right touchdown from the one yard line. And I understand that but they also though like you don't know what this coach is going to do. Like sometimes if the ball is on the one yard, they'll get shot. Yeah, I mean, they're if you told me if you tell me they're going to line up under center, let Dak sneak the ball. I think you have the best chance right there. I was the same thing when they got shot going through it to lamb. I'm like going, what do we do in here? No, that's fair. I don't know what do we play. What do we do? I know I do. I know I do. Just line up snuck it in the new nose. Yeah. Maybe they end up not getting another first down after that. And they still end up having to punch. Yeah. But I would have liked just the rest of nature. He thought, Shady thought his defense was would play better tonight and they and they absolutely did not. They got they got just they got all they got all the and they've got some issues. They they legitimately. If this offensive line is doing that to them, they've got some defensive issues. They really do. All right. How the offense started out? Do you think it would be beneficial for the stars that we could play a snap a series something anything because it was just getting dropped anywhere good at all. And then I know someone called in early but like that for the inches or whatever like that. I think if you have someone like deck press thought, you have pickings, you have CLM, you have for or you guys have talked about how this offense looked unsuable all through training camp. Play it. That's where your money's at. Go for it. And I know buying your center stand if you know if it gets stopped

14:21and the crowd just goes into it. It's so be it. But like that's where all your money's at. You blame and you blame and you blame in the head coach if he goes for it and throws it to Lam or or throws it to pickings and they don't connect. Are you blaming him for going for it then? No, I'm not because that's you. I was all pickings is an exceptional player. Yeah, he had a had a drop. He had about a 50 yard play that was a drop went right through his hands. Is the a sexual player? Oh no, he's a good player. Don't don't twist that. But I'm just saying you're going to and you're fandom. You're going to go after these guys if they don't get that and they give the giants a short field in all Senate seven nothing. Yeah, he's an essential player though. So like I'm I'm putting where I put all my resources and my money into. OK, that's the strength of this team is the off. OK, great. OK, and they had the ball twice in the second half, right? Yeah, and they're right. That's was on Christian Parker. And then my next thing is.

15:22Yeah. With those three like swing routes to the halfback. Sure. This is my problem with Christian Parker. That bug so much adamant because I don't know why he does not three times the road like that. Let me ask you a question, sir. And why he didn't get that question. How much did you know about Christian Parker before we had this game tonight? From what you guys said, Christian Parker is very technical. He's very smart. Sure. I just don't understand if you have. We didn't I mean, yeah, we didn't know. We didn't know honestly. We didn't know we didn't know that he was going to we didn't know that we're going to have the same problems. Yeah, you talked to Christian Parker and you watch practice and you're seeing him. They look pretty buttoned up. And then it gets in the game and all hell breaks loose. You know, I mean, it looked like Matt, he were loose defense. Yeah, it absolutely did. A lot of the same issues. We were all at listen, we're not the only ones that you're talking about. Christian Parker and what we think he could do. And that's like to say that that's a mistake.

16:23This defense, he has got to on the plane flight home. He's got to watch that tape and say, damn, I can't do this anymore. Or they need to find somebody that can do this. Yeah, it's his first game as a defensive coordinator, Colin Plyce. And everyone to a man, you know, whether you were with the Cowboys organization or not, I don't think anybody ever said anything negative about Christian Parker. No. And he still might end up having a good season as defensive coordinator, but this was a humbling experience. Oh, big time humbling experience. We were all singing his praises after the ramps, Screamy. Yeah. Every report was that they matched up really well against the ramps. Every report was that. So yeah, I mean, and we saw in the preseason, we were all kind of excited with him with backups. You know, they look, they look more buttoned up in the preseason playing with their backups. So yeah, we didn't know what Christian Parker really was going to do. We were all kind of like thinking, well, let's see. Obviously, it wasn't, you know, didn't get it done tonight.
