Hello and welcome, Glory to God for it is a new day for God has made a new day for us to enjoy, for us to glorify Him, for us to repent of our sins. So my name is Pastor Josh Pan and thank you for planting the seeds of the gospel and saving more souls by sharing this video, Glory to God. So today we are diving into the final chapter of first Kings chapter 11 of King Solomon of a united kingdom and we get to study this and just to understand exactly how you must fight to live a good faithful life to God to the very end. So let's just jump right into it. This is King chapter 11 verse 26 to 43 talking about King Solomon's final days.
So verse 26 also, Jeroboam and son of Nabat rebelled against the king and he was Solomon's officials, one of it and an Ephraimite from Zedra, Zerata and his mother was the widow named Zerua and here is the count of how he rebelled against the king. One Solomon has built the supporting Terence and has filled the gap in the wall of the city of David and his father, David's father, oh, he is connected. Now Jeroboam was a man standing and when Solomon saw how well the young man did his work, he put him in charge of the whole labor of the house of Joseph and about that time Jeroboam was going out of Jerusalem and Ahidja, the prophet of Shiloh, met him on the way. He was wearing a new cloak and the two of them were alone out in the country. And Ahidja told, took hold of the new cloak and he was wearing and tore it in 12 pieces
and he stared to Jeroboam, take 10 pieces for yourself, for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says, see, I am going to tear this kingdom out of the kingdom of Solomon's hands and give you 10 tribes, wow. But for the sake of my servant David, the city of Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of the tribes of Israel, will have one tribe and I will do this because they have forsaken me and worshiped the ashtoeth, the goddess of the Sidians and the chimus, the god of Morbites and Molec, the god of emmites and they have not walked in my ways nor done what is right in my eyes nor kept my statutes and lost as David, King and King Solomon's fathers did. Wow, verse 34, but I will not take the whole kingdom, I will not take it away from the son's hand because I have made him ruler all the days of his life for the sake of David
my servant, whom I chose and who observed my commands and decrees. I will take the kingdom from his son's hand and give you 10 tribes and I will give you one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my name however for you, as for you I will take you and you will rule over all the hard desires and you will be keen over easier if you do whatever I command you, walk in my ways and do what is right in my eyes by keeping the statutes and commands as David my servant did, I will be with you, I will build you as a dynasty as ensuring as one I built for David and will give Israel to you. And I will humble David's descendants because of this, but not forever, Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam, but Jeroboam he fled to Egypt to Shishak the king and stayed there until
King Solomon's death and as for the other events of Solomon's reign, all he did and the wisdom he displayed are they not written in the book of the annals of Solomon and Solomon reigned over in Jerusalem over all Israel for 40 years and he rested in his fathers and which buried in the city of David his father and Jeroboam his son succeeded him as king, wow, we can see here this merciful discipline while a dad and a son who were two people who raised up as adversaries against Solomon from outside of Israel, they were against him, but Jeroboam came from within, he was an adversary from within the kingdom and Jeroboam was a man that King Solomon appointed to overseen the labor forces of the tribes of Joseph and
is from the tribe of Ephraim and a hija prophesizes that God would tear the kingdom apart from King Solomon's hand and grant 10 tribes to Jeroboam and because of King Solomon's failure to remain faithful to the king, most of the kingdom will be taken from him and given to an adversary within his own tribes and we can see how God will not allow faithlessness, faithless leadership to last forever and at the same time we are to see God mercy as Solomon is allowed to keep a small portion of his kingdom because of the faithfulness of King David and his his Solomon's father, wow, now the next thing we can see the dangers of idolatry happening, hello Vian Rose, in mighty name of Jesus, a man who read the brother, hey praise the Lord, first King's chapter 11, this text
concludes the final chapter of King Solomon's kingship and he has a sad ending to such a prominent reign, a hija prophesized that Jeroboam's future reign over the northern kingdom will happen and Solomon attempts to kill Jeroboam and then Solomon dies. The passage notes that there are other events of Solomon's reign and stories of his wisdom recorded in another anxious ancient literature and chronicles, first chronicles and although he reigns over Israel for 40 years the end to his story is stated because of his idolatry, because of him marrying false gods, false foreign wives and the world today we face false idols that divide our attention and we must be vigilant to reject the false gods in this world, in our world and may you not make the same mistake that lead to a divided kingdom but instead work up to build God's kingdom and bring him
glory, wow, we can see how in this passage in first King chapter 11 verse 26 to 43 there was a rebellion of Jeroboam against Solomon and the prophecy of the divided kingdom so this is the beginning of the divided kingdom, the end of the united kingdom of Israel and by far this rebellion was the most serious threat faced by Solomon during his reign and for Jeroboam he was a Israelite himself and was actually one of Solomon's own officials, however Jeroboam was destined to become the first king of the northern kingdom after the split of the nation and this scripture paints a dramatic picture of the uprising and the prophecy predicting the dividing kingdom, wow, you see if King Solomon was faithful to the very end then he would not see any divide within his
kingdom then there would be no Jeroboam that would rise up against him, if maybe Jeroboam I don't know if he was righteous but if people saw that their king, their leader has fallen away from the ways of God then surely there would be rebellion, surely there would be an uprising so let's go into the passage Jeroboam he was given a task of the labor force his work caught eyes of King Solomon, he had been promoted to be the supervisor over the tribes of Joseph, Jeroboam was dramatically confronted by the prophet the messenger of God Aheja to predict the future ruler over the ten tribes and then he heard and he saw for himself
from Aheja where he took the new cloak, he divided it to twelve and he said take ten, ten pieces belonged to you and two belonged to me, I mean two King Solomon and this really shows how it was planned by God how God ultimately is enjoyed when you are faithful to God he will add to but then if you walk in your own ways we get God and worship boss idols the new experience divide in your own life you will experience things being taken away from you because it is God's to begin with in the first place whether it's your life whether it's your wealth whether it's your community you must put God first in your life do not do as King Solomon did amen
Aheja explained that this is a symbolic message of the torn cloak God was tearing the kingdom away from King Solomon and was giving ten tribes to Jeroboam now from what I remember I think Jeroboam was a good king he wasn't boss fully taking this kingdom away from King Solomon he was giving it to it it was given to him by God and Aheja the prophet did say that if he was faithful and to following God's decrees and command that his hand would be upon him Aheja he also spelled out reason why the kingdom was being divided and the nation of Israel was being torn apart and number one caused the king and the people had forsaken God
and where worshiping boss idols in the high places number two because they had engaged in boss worship number three because they had disobeyed and not followed in the ways of God when you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness then he promises that he will add all until you for 24 years of King Solomon's life he pursued God he put God first in his life he worked on building the community the kingdom of God and he was not distracted by the foreign themes of this world but by the pleasures of the world by his own selfishness he was not and so he was blessed abundantly people came and honored him and honored the heavenly father
and that's what in Israel was meant to do to point other people to the heavenly father to point it them to him but they failed to do so and that's why this is a sad tragic ending of King Solomon's life how he knew that the kingdom would not stand after he passed away and how he knew it would be not go down to his son and to his son son to his grandson and how it was going to end just because of his wickedness and his wrongdoings a hija he reassuring Jeroboam that God has chosen him to rule Jeroboam was like yo I don't dare to stand up against God against the king but the prophet of the Lord reassured him that was God's plan
it was God's timing but of course God still assured that he would not take the kingdom out of Solomon's hand and during his lifetime for King David's sake because King David was a righteous man of God who finished the race strong the race he did not stop he just continued forward each and every day even though he fell even though he sined even though he murdered and was adulterous but yet he still came back to God and worshiped the Lord one two God but King Solomon he fell away he fell into worshiping the gifts that he was given by God to gifts and started spreading starting using it unwisely and with that came his downfall a hija reassured Jeroboam that God
would take the kingdom from Solomon's son and give it to Jeroboam and 10 tribes and that God was going to give one tribe which were Judah to Solomon's son because of David this is all because of King David's faithfulness you see this shows that the blessings pour out from one man to his sons and to his sons sons are continuous your inheritance spiritual inheritance is passed down to your sons your daughters your family the next generation that's why what you do now really impacts next generation so if you really want a good solid foundation for the Lord I got to work upon your descendants then you must walk in his ways each and every day and by God's grace got
by God's blessings I'm a seventh generation Christian in my family my dad he was a pastor he is a pastor my grandparents they both were pastors and now I'm a pastor I did not choose to do so but God chose it for me I tried to escape the route of the pastor but it was God who led me towards that direction this direction to be your pastor the trusting me with this role to be a spiritual head spiritual encouragement to others a hegeo declared that God God promise to Jeroboam would be a lasting dynasty if and only if with a
strict condition obedience keeping God's commandments and the wonderful promises that God's presence and a dynasty would endure just as much as King David and the a hegeo gave reasons for God's judgment to humble David's house and I will for this afflicted afflict the seed of David but not forever it's not going to be forever the seed of David comes down from generation to generation all the way to Jesus Jesus was considered as the seed of David the seed of Solomon the seed of Abraham Isaac Joseph but not Joseph Jacob so Jeroboam he was about and Solomon tried to kill him and he fled
to Egypt stay in there until Solomon's death the seed Jeroboam had been a supervisor of a huge workforce that was I was building wow hold on let me get out of screen for there you go all right let's just continue I know this is my first bird horizontal landscapes live stream on YouTube it seemed like it's not working so I'm going to go back to vertical next all right
so Jeroboam he was in charge hello Kyle Carson good to see you he was in charge of supervising workers labor force a huge power base a large number of disgruntled people and sometime earlier Jeroboam's hard work cut the eyes of King Solomon and as a result the king promoted the young man to be a labor supervisor over the tribes of Joseph and that is the tribes of Ephraim and Manessa and soon after his promotion Jeroboam was dramatically confronted by the prophet and hegea and for some reason Jeroboam was leaving the city of Jerusalem and walking alone in the countryside being sent by the Lord to meet with a young man a hegea the prophet come informed him that he was to be the future ruler of ten northern tribes of Israel after the nation has been torn apart
after the death of King Solomon and he a hegea he did ten or six things with Jeroboam yes welcome back Kyle I know I remember you thank you six things the prophet number one he approached Jeroboam and presented an object of lesson to him and he took the new cloak that he was wearing and he tore it into 12 pieces 10 handing 10 to Jeroboam and he a hegea then explained the symbolic message of the torn cloak just as he has torn the cloak so God was tearing the kingdom away from Solomon and giving to Jeroboam 10 tribes to roll over one and only one tribe Judah was to be given to King Solomon and his son and this only was for the sake of David to keep in mind that the tribe of Benjamin was within Judah and was so small that it was considered to be a part of Judah
and a hegea spelled out the reasons why the kingdom was being divided and the nation of Israel was being torn apart and there were three reasons given number one because the king and the people had forsaken God number two because the king and the people had engaged in false worship and number three because the king and the people has disobeyed God's commandment refusing to walk in the ways of the Lord wow I will pray for you later a hegea we are sure in Jeroboam that this was the will of God that God has chosen him to rule but for David's sake Judah was not going to take the kingdom out of King Solomon's hand God was not going to take the kingdom out of King Solomon's hand during Solomon's lifetime instead God would take the kingdom from Solomon's son and give the ten northern tribes to Jeroboam to rule over however Jeroboam must remember that God was going
to give him give one tribe the tribe of Judah to Solomon's son and David was always to be a light before the Lord in Jerusalem a city where God has chosen to honor his name and by the light it meant the unconditional promise of God in the davidic davidic covenant that God would Sunday establish the throne of David and that his throne would be eternal and of course this points to the ideal son of David the eternal king who is appointed by God to rule forever upon the throne of David and who is that that is the Lord Jesus Christ himself and with these words a hegea the prophet reassured Jeroboam that God was going to make him king the young man would rule
over all that he desired over the ten tribes of the northern Israel and after reassuring Jeroboam a hegea declared God startling promise to the young man just as God has established a lasting dynasty for David God could establish God could establish a lasting dynasty for Jeroboam hello Shalom Shalom but there is one very strict condition and that is obedience Jeroboam must keep God's commandments and if he kept God's commandments the God would grant him this very very own present to give Jeroboam a dynasty that would endure just as much as David what a startling and remarkable promise in number six finally add a Niger gave the reason for God's judgment upon
Israel upon David's descendants Israel and David's house were to be humbled punished in judgment but note that the scripture says not forever again this is a reference to the coming son of David the Messiah the savior of the world the Lord Jesus Christ and sometimes after sometime after being confronted by a hegea receiving the prophecy of God Jeroboam rebelled against Solomon and nothing is said about song Jeroboam's rebellion or how he vote revolted how his vote revolt failed but he was forced to flee for his life and he fled to Egypt where he stayed until King Solomon's death while we can learn so much from this guys just as God has foretold Solomon his hand of judgment began to fall
upon the king so it is with us when God predicts his judgment the hand of his judgment does fall if we continue in sin we will face the judgment of God whether we sin in Moli or engage in false worship as Solomon did or committed more common sin such as lying, cursing, gossiping or speaking uncanny we will face the judgment of God for sin arises from a heart that is not fully surrendered to God and the only answer to sin is repentance a turning of a heart back to God because God wants your heart the answer to sin to being set free from the enslavement of sin is repentance but if you fail to repent God has no choice but to condemn you and to send his hand of judgment
upon you and that's why it's so important to continue walking in his ways so important to say yes Lord I will follow you all the days of my life and I will build my life upon your firm foundation we can look into the word of God and I know this is some of your favorite part which is going through the scripture one by one and we can glorify God through this because we know that his love never fails and that his promises continues on even after everything even after we pass even after King Solomon passes so we must walk in his ways and build our life upon his firm foundation and learn from King Solomon don't be rebellious don't walk in your own ways but instead walking the ways of the Lord our God our God Almighty who never lets us down
who fight for you who grants you this eternal peace that can lead you into a life of wonders a life of abundance a life that is unfailing right in Jesus name so that's why we must build our life upon his foundation well I'm trying to get this mask to work so I can just scroll but it's not working so let's get right into it hey we got our first thumbs up for our first like for our horizontal or landscape life screen ah John chapter 5 hello Druidria John chapter 5 verse 28 to 29 do not marvel at this for an hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and will come forth and those who
did good deeds to the to a resurrection of life will and those who committed the evil deeds to resurrection of judgment wow this talks about resurrection and he's saying that an hour is coming the return of Jesus Christ welcome a second coming of our Lord he will come and everyone who are dead who are in the tomb welcome to life and hear his voice and there is two ways only two ways that you will end up is whether you're going to be going towards a resurrection of life or towards a resurrection of judgment in order to achieve a resurrection of life doing good deeds which is
good deeds in the eyes of the Lord which is obedience to the Lord or doing wicked deeds being living a life that is against him a life that is not for him a life that is going in your own ways and rejecting God that is the future your life is like vapor it will pass by so fast in a hundred years as I was watching queen of tears the final scene is showed a tomb a tombstone it showed the main character the woman dying and living from 1990 to 2074 and I calculated that was 84 years old and I was thinking to myself if I was to live 84
years old my tombstone would look similar to that and so I bet that my wife cried at that scene but as I was looking at that scene I was like wow soon my life will come to an end soon my life will not yeah it will come to an end that's a perfect that's a perfect scene I think to get people into the drama maybe there's spoilers but hey I don't know but Jesus is number one yes Jesus is everything Jesus is the resurrection he said I am the resurrection and the life I give you life a life eternal I give you life and a life relationship with me
we will resurrect and we will either go toward a resurrection of life and those who turn evil into a resurrection of it's a damnation wow in the in the ESV I know the KJV version wow let's keep going Roman chapter 18 and 1 verse 18 for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness are men who suppress the truth in eyed righteousness suppress the truth a lot of people suppress the truth in their life they're just saying hey that's not true and that's not no big deal I'm just gonna ignore it I'm gonna say tomorrow I'm gonna look into it tomorrow I'm gonna procrastinate on this but too many people procrastinate so much
that their life is gone just like a vapor and that they don't have a chance to repent they don't have a chance to receive the Lord they don't have a chance to walk in the ways of the righteous and that what would happen the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and all unrighteousness are men this is the reality of the in disguise a verse 29 to 32 and being filled with all unrighteousness fornication wickedness covetedness maliciousness full of envy murder debate deceit malignant malignant malignity whispers back fighters haters of God despiteful proud boastful inventors of evil themes disobedient to parents without understanding covenant
breakers wow covenant breakers that's that's a new term for me covenant breakers without understanding without natural affection implacable and merciful who knowing who knowing the judgment of God that they would commit such things that are worthy of death that death is not just a physical death but a physical death that they which commit such things are worthy of death not only to do the same but have the pleasure in doing them and they do it anyways oh man that's so tough I'm trying to sink this all in because a lot of people are attracted to the blessing the wonders of God the is a loving heavenly father who
has no that who is harmless but here we can really see the God who is just the God who also recognizes these themes that are actually harming the inner person individuals inside and harming society who are full of envy envy it's like jealousy murder debate who just complained all the time or who just wants to disagree all the time deceit deceit that means they trick people ma league nitty define ma league nati man I should just make this a hey do you feel like this is more of a Bible study or devotion the state of being malignant or in feeling or purpose
extreme male male equivalence bitter enmity huh what is malignant man we should just call this a Bible study in the future a person with extreme enmity enmity or evil intention ah that makes sense this is not popular but a person with extreme evil intention enmity let's define enmity hmm shalom thank you so much deep seated often mutual hated or feeling or a state of hatred and animosity man for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness all and righteous
men who hold the truth they know the truth they know who God is yet they live in unrighteousness being filled with unrighteousness wow this powerful because when we walk in the ways of the Lord we will not lack because God provides first and our cup overflows it's filled with God's goodness God's love God's hope but on the flip side there's people who are filled with unrighteousness for negification define for negification which is adultery wickedness coveted coveted
tasteness maliciousness fall of envy murder debate deceit malignant worship backbiteers backbiteers is like backstabbers right haters of God despiteful proud boasters inventors of evil things this obedient to parents without understanding covenant breakers without natural affections implacable unmistakable I think I want to note covenant breakers because we have a covenant with God our new covenant with God when Jesus came the old covenant is God the new has come
and now we are living in a better promises of God better promises of God we are not to live last we are not to live in English we are to live in victory victory in Christ victory in our Lord we're to live in breakthrough we're to live by the grace of God hello pretty me welcome I'm so glad you came and typed in something so who know in the judgment of God now they commit such things worthy of death not only to do the same but have the pleasure in doing them yeah just let us think in guys I'm broken this world is how lost they are first Corinthians chapter 6 verse 9 to 10
no ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God do not be deceived neither fornicators nor adulatures or adulterers nor ever being neat man nor homosexuals nor thieves nor covetous or nor drunkiness while these are high there's hard to be down to earth nor the vileers nor swindlers were inherit the kingdom of God you will inherit the kingdom of God when you fall in the ways of the Lord our God you see if you worship our fast God if you are adulterer I mean this this kind of people they hurt
people in society people who are drunkards people who are thieves people who steal they should not inherit the kingdom of God but you are children of God you walk in his ways and he set you free from the bondage of sin that holds you back from inheriting the kingdom of God and inheritance is a great thing who doesn't love free things who doesn't love receiving free money free wealth our love it and our Heavenly Father says I am the God who has all things
I am the God who owns the earth in the heavens who owns the gold in the silver who owns the cattle on the thousand hills I am the powerful God the God of unlimited wealth the God of unlimited power the God of unlimited wisdom and all you have to do to inherit that to gain that is to walk in my ways to follow me to let me impact your life amen relation chapter 9 verse 19 to 21 now the deeds of the flesh are evident which are immorally impurely sensuality idolatry sorcery enmity strife jealousy upwards of anger dispute
dissensions and fraction factions envy and drunkenness quarreling and themes like these of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you for those who practice such themes were not inherit the kingdom of God while several times in the Bible it clearly list out clearly list out what sin is for the works of flesh which is manifested something the man is bested it's something that was grown out of the flesh out of the evil the evil deeds of the flesh are evident in which are these adultery fornification fornication uncleanness
these are difficult words to read for me because I normally don't say it idolatry last kivish viciousness viciousness last kivishness never heard that word either I'm like learning with you guys guys the last vicious desire or conduct loodness or toneness lastfulness looseness of behavior the tendency to excite lust all right this is a bible study guys this is a bible study really but okay let's keep meeting idolatry witchcraft witchcraft which is like sorcery hatred variance which is like murders drunkenness
rebellions it's so hard to take this in but we slowly take it in heresies which is like lies and beings being jealous murders committing yeah murders drunkenness rebellions and such like of the witch I tell you before as I have told you in the past time so he told you before he warned you before for nations for generation he's been saying this that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God we're going into efficient we're going into efficient now allowing God to work in this place and to build his life upon us and letting him be the lord of our
life and walking in his ways hello sir yeah efficient chapter five verse three five but in morally or any impurity or greed must not be named among you as it is proper among saints and there must be no built thinness or silly talks or coarse justine which are not fitting but rather giving thanks give thanks to the lord for this you know with certainty that no immoral or impure person or covetous man who is an idolatry has inherited the kingdom of Christ and of God well I guess we are really talking about the inheritance of God right now
and if you want to inherit the kingdom of God then you must recognize these things these uncleanness that are against God that will bring you far from him he will chapter nine verse 27 and as it is appointed unto man once to die but after this judgment judgment will come when you die when king Solomon died the judgment actually the punishment for his disobedience fell upon his son when king David died the judgment of king David who it righteous fell upon king Solomon and that's why king Solomon was blessed to have the wisdom that he had blessed with the inheritance
blessed with all he needed in order to rule live a comfortable life and to live a life that glorifies God yet with all that blessings he forgot God he rejected God he worshiped false idols and he married foreign woman who did not believe in God who impacted his life and turned him away from the heavenly father second Peter chapter 2 verse 9 says then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation and to keep the young righteous under punishment for the day of judgment the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations he knows how to save you he knows how to bring you out of that darkness out of that
bondage right lady amen God is in control over it all he wants to bless you with his good inheritance is his inheritance in your life may come within your life I am so blessed in my life to receive the blessings of God through many generations above me that's been rooted in the Lord he blesses me with a baby boy coming in June 20th he blesses me with this audience this livestream so that I can speak into your life so that we can speak about how good how great how amazing our Lord God Almighty is he makes a way for us when there is no way he blesses us with the gift of eternal life and so we got a praise and all the days of our life for he knows how to
rescue us from the darkness from the pain from the brokenness and to bring you into a life of breakthrough into a life of joy and hope a life of victory a life of strength praise the Lord this is going to be a longer stream wow because we are learning so much but I mean we start my live stream for YouTube just because we need to get people in the in the chat but the heavens and the earth which are now by the same word being kept in store reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men
over and over and over again we can see in the scripture how there's going to be fire there's going to be punishment there's going to be judgment against ungodly men against unrighteous people against people who turn away from God that's why we are here to plant the seeds of the gospel and to save more souls amen and Jude chapter 14 to 15 it says and Enoch also the seventh from Adam prophesied these saying behold the Lord comes with 10,000 of his saints to execute judgment upon our to convince our that the ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed and all their hard speeches
which ungodly sinners have spoken against him judgment is coming guys it's not fun talking about the judgment of God it's really not but it is coming this is not to put fear into your heart this is to put an understanding of an urgency in your heart to reach others for God to fight the good fight of faith to walk in his ways to be a light for him we cannot stop we must not stop because so many people are going down towards ruin and towards destruction
they're experiencing a life of brokenness a life of darkness a life that cannot feel God's presence because they don't know about it and so it's today we call upon each and everyone everyone to come before the Lord and to repent to growing him to build our life upon him Amen last of all congratulations chapter 21 verse 8 it says but the fearful the unbelievable the unbelieving and the abominant and murderers and hormones and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire in brimestone which is the second death
whoa there's a second death there's a second death so after your physical death there's a spiritual death which is talked about in Revelation chapter 21 verse 8 you and I were learning so much but the cowardly the unbelievable the abominant the murderers the immoral persons the sorcerers the idolaters and all liars their part will be the lake that burned with fire brimestone which is the second death guys this is reality we must we absolutely must know what ruin a destruction looks like and we absolutely must preach the word of God to allow his word to manifest in our hearts so that
evil will not manifest in our hearts that evil will not take hold of our hearts so that the wind blow the waves crash it will not it will not take us away it will not knock down our hearts that are built upon the firm foundation of God the truth of God now I'm going to go into a vertical live stream with my youtube or should I not I'll just leave it I know I know there's so much again let's just keep going to mile I will go vertically glory to God but he is good gambling addiction amen God bless that is that's the reality
cloudy x hello thank you I thought I thought I was all alone on this live stream but glory to thank you for saying hi yeah I have game like I struggled game in addiction I struggled with just being burnt out I struggled with so many things but now by God's grace he brought me back into his presence and allowed me to share his love his goodness his mercy and to share the good things that he has for each and every one of you so we give thanks and give praise to God for he is good we're going to go into chapter 11 verse 41 to 43 which talked about King Solomon's death now the rest of acts of Solomon and whatever he did and his wisdom are they not written here in the
book of in this book of the acts of Solomon thus the time of Solomon reigned in Jerusalem overall of Israel for 40 years and Solomon slept with his fathers and he was buried in the city of his father David and his son Rayboan reigned in his place there was the death of Solomon a legacy of achievement but tragically also the overindulgence of worldly pleasure and all the events that Solomon's reign were recorded in the book entitled the book of acts of Solomon well apparently this was a source of material drawn upon the author of first Kings but note not all the events of Solomon this reign were recorded in the scripture the reign of Solomon lasted for 40 years but keep in mind that he was to lose his kingdom due to sin he was to lose what he was meant to
build up due to sin and after death the unified nation of Israel reached its pinnacle power and international influence was to be torn a sunday and the 10 northern tribes were split off from the tribe of Judah and never again with the nation be unified are due to King Solomon's terrible wickedness his disobedience and overindulgence in the worldly things in the worldly pleasure and note the sad silent picture of Solomon's death no details were given about his passing away or his funeral only the facts recorded in scripture are that he was buried in Jerusalem and was succeeded by his son Jeroboan now there's two thoughts from this number one in closing the expositors
R.D. Paterson in the expositors Bible commentary gives an excellent statement to the close to close the life of Solomon Solomon he left a big mark in history his memory and fame live on he represents the fine at the first stage in the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant and despite his faults he foreshadows the coming of Christ the true son of David and in that in that in addition in his inspired words of wisdom as recorded in the scripture I've challenged trot and inspired men throughout the ages a man we are challenged through the story of King Solomon through the wisdom of King Solomon through problems through song of songs and through Leviticus no no not Leviticus that was written by Moses
but Ecclesiastes yes we are challenged we learn from his mistakes we do not want to walk in the same way as King Solomon yes he which righteous in the first place great praise lord but then the lesson here is that we must finish strong strong in the Lord run the good run race of faith the that too also giving an excellent summary of the life of Solomon is in the commentator Paul R. Hughes the summary is well well worth quoting in full with Solomon's death one of the books major character leaves the story only Elijah Elijah and perhaps hezekiah and Josiah approaches Solomon's prominence in the overall scheme of first and second kings what kind of man was Solomon how does the author characterize him
and certainly Solomon has some positive traits cheap among the good qualities is his wisdom there's ability to gather the knowledge from the wide range of topics and organize the information gathered and write down his conclusion and live by his conclusion and finally teach others what he has learned and most importantly at his best King Solomon is able to do all these things in spiritual matters with God as his spiritual head and early in his career Solomon applies his knowledge of scriptures his experience with God in a way that helps him obey God and keeps the Lord's command and judges justly and builds the temple thus wisdom means the ability to obey God's truth and Solomon is quite able to be wise three other positive characteristics
demonstrated in Solomon's wisdom is the so-called secular realms in the so-called secular realm number one he is an organizational genius he's able to organize tax and govern a fairly extensive political financial empire Solomon's cognitive abilities make this success possible and secondly he implements an effective foreign policy which demonstrates his adaptability and willingness to compromise and improvise and thirdly King Solomon is humble enough to ask God and for help and thoughtfully enough to pray for Israel both in his time and in the future and for the other nations as well despite his failing in the later years these good traits should not be forgotten and sadly no character's sketch of Solomon is complete without an analysis
of his flaws he is capable of expressing his ambition to be a great king throughout the acquiring of vast wealth and numerous wives and eventually these twin desires for prestige and sensuality led to his nation's downfall and King Solomon is not beyond using a pressing measure to get what he wants as an institution of forced labor which indicates nor he is beyond cheating a friend as he is given giving a worth this talent to he who improves it and worst of all King Solomon condones even the practices of idolatry thus he is capable of rational thinking in gratitude and covenant in fidelity at his worst than the wise leader of Israel acts no better than most of the foolish subjects later on and now he thereby serves as a warning to
there to those who take their God-given gifts for granted or worse to come to believe that they have achieved greatness on their own we must remind ourselves that the million subscribers the five million subscribers on YouTube it's not from my own doing my own power but it's by the grace of God by the love of God and we must walk in his ways all the days of our life because it's so easy to follow away so easy to walk in our own way so let me pray for us Heavenly Father thank you for this devotion it was not easy it was really really tough even for me to absorb what it looks like Lord I pray that you would bring protection provision healing wish them understanding
knowledge discipline commitment to you for your groin upon my brothers and sisters and that you would allow them to experience more and more of you that they would walk in your ways all the days of their life that they would run the good ways Lord this is not easy to see such a tragic ending that we pray that we might not fall in the same trap that will double as laid upon him the trap of chasing sensuality the chasing prestige Lord God thank you so much for giving us an opportunity to repent to walk in your ways to love you to build our life upon your firm foundation and for a second prayer for those who want to sub Jesus as your Lord and Savior and turn away
from your evil things pray this with me Lord I am lost I am broken I need you Lord I cannot overcome by myself I can only overcome by your power in Jesus you are the Savior so I come before you and I pray that you would be the God over it all but you would be the God who saves my life and saves those around me that you would use me O Lord as I commit my life to you 100% as I walk in your ways reading your word every day and praying to you every day O Lord God use me to build your kingdom I commit my life to you because you loved me first and you died for me I love you in Jesus name, name and amen
thank you guys so much for joining me thank you for the like for the subscribe for the follow if you have any questions any comments feel free to leave it let me know as I go into some reflecting questions application questions so that we may be able to continue this conversation Shalom says thank you beautiful Josh thank you Shalom so much ramen rider you make me hungry says amen praise the Lord Leo says are you real okay bye I'm real thank you and he say hello thank you thank you for joining yeah evil shall not take my soul away and God bless you I have to go bless your heart thank you amen praise the Lord good God is good
yeah so let me answer the four application questions ladies said amen and God bless number one in what ways have you seen an experienced God's response to faithless leadership well we are called to be mighty men and women of God we are called to be leaders in our life but to be a leader we must submit our life to a greater leader you must follow someone to be a great leader you must learn from their leadership learn from their ways and who is the greatest leader of all time is it King Solomon or King David is it Biden is it your governor is it your teacher is it your pastor Josh who is the greatest leader of all time let me tell you who the greatest leader of all time is that is Jesus and Jesus Christ himself who is the greatest leader of
all he is the servant leader he's the loving leader he's the kind leader he's the God who is above all things above all ways his ways are higher than your ways his thoughts are higher than your thoughts his plans are higher than your plans and that's why we continue walking in the ways of God by humbling myself and not living in a life of ego and pride so many people they took God out of the equation they took God out of their life and then go into ruin and destruction and addiction and chasing the things of the world they took God out of the school system and started teaching woke stuff bad doctrine not teaching just about math science English not just teaching the basic stuff but teaching about what their identity is
they took God out of the government now there's greed those malicious plans and evil things going on within the government and that is why we know and we see before our eyes what faithless leadership happens we see it in the kingdom of Israel where the king king Solomon became faithless started worshiping other false idols and also marrying unbelievers which impacted him to turn away from God and so that's why we must declare God into our own life let him be our leader the greatest leader of all time and that's why we must pray that God would enter into our church into our community into
our school system into our state system into our government system into our country into the world system we must preach God to the very ends of the earth to the leadership and pray that God would be the one that leads our leaders we do not follow the faithless leadership no we don't we only follow the king of heaven Jesus Christ himself we only follow the weights of the Holy Spirit who empowers you amen number two how have you also seen his mercy in such situations man we are living in such dark times however by the grace of God no see
Murphy Jesus Lord by the grace of God I'm still having clothing I'm still having food on the table I'm still seeing his grace his mercy letting me be able to live stream and speak about him and his goodness and his mercy however how have I seen his mercy he came from heaven to earth so that you may go from earth to heaven the great exchange that you may have life a life a button he died on the cross and laid down his life for you and there's no better love than this but want to lay their life for another and that's exactly what Jesus did for you that is his mercy and now he anointed my head with holy oil and then my cup overflows he's giving me more than enough and surely his goodness and his mercy
chases after me all the days of my life and I'm living upon his firm foundation living upon his promises living upon his hope his love living upon his grace and his mercy I'm living for the kingdom of God living for higher purpose I'm no longer empty I'm no longer directionless I know exactly who I am in Christ a son of the living high most God a son and daughter of God my identity is rooted in him and not in anyone else and anything else not in the things that the world is teaching in the school systems that is wrong doctrine my life is rooted upon the truth and the truth shall set you free so do you see his mercy upon your life I see it
his mercy his grace is so that I can be generous generous in my time in my effort in my energy generous in my finance I plan on giving my precious car I love my car to another minister and that is a grace it's not easy I debate I argue with my wife but in my heart I want to give because I know it can be used for God's glory I know because it's grace to give hey man number three what kingdoms have you been trying to build well you know I tried to build my League of Legends characters kingdom played it for a long time got to the top diamond three
I was so good dominating knew the maps had great awareness boom boom played for hours dominated carry the teams but when I quit that's gone a kingdom's gun I played Clash of Royale I built a clan with people who had maximum trophies with people who were active and then I continued cultivating and I even got to a high rank I built that kingdom that game but when I quit it was all gone it was fleeting it's temporary gaming but now by the grace of God I am building the kingdom of God which is the ultimate kingdom which will never fail never fade away this is the best kingdom you can ever build you're not just building your own castle your own things but you're building for
the ministry the kingdom of God you're building for bigger things you're building for his kingdom and you'll see wow this life is so worth it to be able to pour out his love his grace and mercy to others and we thank you Jesus yes amen lady lady amen we thank him for giving us the opportunity to build his kingdom and I'm bringing my youth on the board in my church on board I'm bringing them on the board to build the kingdom of God online offline preaching the word God every day not stopping because there's no one like our God and we must rely on him day and night so kingdoms you're not just building your own castle you're building God's kingdom and it's
a privilege to be part of this story this journey not my will but yours be done God may you increase and I decrease you exalt the humble you humble exalted those who have the humble the proud humble the proud number three what does the kingdom of God offer that other kingdoms cannot you see the kingdom of God what is unden as eternal but I can see it now I can see it by faith I'm walking by faith and not by sight I'm walking in his faith in faith I see that one million subscribers on youtube already no matter what happens I already see it I see that God had provided for me everything I need a house in the future for his kingdom I see thousands 10,000 millions of people saved in the name of
Jesus just because I'm being faithful this day I ticked out crashed no way can you believe it and crashed wow anyway I'll wrap it up what does the kingdom of God offer that other kingdoms cannot it gives you ability to transform to become more like God to be in his presence to follow in his ways so without transformation you would receive the fruit of the spirit love joy peace patient kindness gentleness faithfulness self-control self-control is something so many people are missing in their life self-control from the addiction of gaming the addiction of
