"Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table... and began to wash the disciples' feet." Jesus knew who he was, whose he was, where he had come from, and where he was going.

This significance and security enabled him to serve. What is the foundation of our significance and security?

Jesus knew who and whose he was, and this foundation allowed him to love and serve fully to the end.

- As you think about your own significance and security, what do you look to in your own life? Who are the people and what are the positions that give you a sense of who you are?

- What helps you to grow stronger in your identity as a child of God and your confidence about your future? How might security in those areas give you the security to serve others as Jesus does?
