Daily Devo | Jesus Manifests His Truth (John 4:43-54)

Many people today talk about "manifesting" some kind of inner reality into being. In this second of seven signs, Jesus literally manifests his truth -- he speaks and reality conforms to his will. Who can speak a word and have it come into being? Since the beginning of time, there has been only one being with this kind of power. This power displayed in this sign hints at the true identity of Jesus!

A royal official asks for healing for his son and the way Jesus heals him hints at Jesus' true identity and his true character as well.

- Have you ever been asked to help or forgive someone you might consider an enemy? What does it say about Jesus that he helps this man? How might this moment encourage you when you feel "too sinful" to approach God?

- Why do you trust Jesus? Were there "signs and wonders" that have propelled your faith journey forward? Have the reasons for your faith changed over time?
