About this episode
Jesus is virtually a wanted man at this point but Jerusalem is where all the action is during the time of the holy feast, so Jesus' brothers urge him to go to Jerusalem to show everyone what he can do. It's clear that they do not understand Jesus' mission nor believe in Jesus' person. What do you do when those who are supposed to be closest to you misunderstand or even oppose what God is doing in and through you?

For Reflection:
Jesus' brothers clearly have different goals than Jesus. At the very least, they fail to understand what Jesus is trying to accomplish.
- What kind of a role have your family and friends played in your spiritual walk? Have they been supportive? Have they been understanding?
- Have you ever had to choose between pleasing your family or friends on the one hand, and pleasing God on the other? What happened? What might you do differently in the future?
