About this episode
The Gospel of John highlights seven signs that are meant to reveal Jesus to us, and the first is the turning of water to wine at a wedding at his mother's suggestion. Mary never seems to doubt what Jesus will do. Her only request is for others to do whatever Jesus tells them. Mary's words call to us as well. If you want to see the blessing of God unleashed in your life, do whatever Jesus tells you!

For Reflection:
The first of seven signs in John's Gospel is the turning of water to wine at a wedding. Why this sign?
- Mary directs the servants to "do whatever he (Jesus) tells you!" How have you experienced blessing from following that principle in your life? Where do you continue to resist that kind of direction?
- The servants were likely confused by Jesus' instructions, and perhaps frustrated by the work needed for something that didn't seem to make sense. But their faithfulness was critical. How does their example challenge you?
