Daily Devo | Community as Unity in Christ (Practicing the Way, Ephesians 4:1-6)
About this episode
Community is a word that has been greatly reduced in power, much like hospitality. Paul points to the true power of community and how it arises from nothing less than the power of Christ through the Spirit. This kind of power is most clearly on display when we love people who are difficult to love -- relationships where there is difference or division. Christ calls us to a community that builds bridges, not walls.

For Reflection:
"Make every effort..." (verse 3)
- How have you seen Christian sisters and brothers display humility, patience, and gentleness, "making allowance for each other's faults" (v2)?
- How might you take a step towards Christian unity even when there is disagreement?
- Consider one relationship where tension or misunderstanding has crept in. Pray for humility and wisdom in how God might invite you to "Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit" (v3).
