About this episode
Bread and carbs receive a lot of negative press these days, but in Jesus' day, bread was life. Having been fed by Jesus, they clamor for more. More bread. But Jesus wants them to hunger for more than just bread that sustains physical life. He wants them to hunger for bread that sustains spiritual life, full life, eternal life! Though they do not understand, that daily bread is Jesus, the one who was sent by the Father to give us eternal life through faith and trust in him.

For Reflection:
The crowds want bread but Jesus wants them to desire something much more than just full bellies -- he wants them to desire full life!
- The crowds approach Jesus with curiosity because of the bread they were given. Why did you start to engage with Christ? What stoked your curiosity? What was the gateway or the first step that led to spiritual curiosity?
- Jesus loves us as we are but also loves us too much to leave us as we are. He wants more for us. How does your prayer life reflect those deepening desires for God?
