That's why I love Fairway. Everything I need, easy to find. And a hometown atmosphere that just hits different. Fairway your home core advantage. Welcome into the Northwest Bank Studios for the daily clone. Here on a Wednesday presented by Fairway Mean Grocery. They brought us your post game recap of Iowa State's win over Arizona State. So if you haven't seen that yet, check it out. But this is a preview for tomorrow. As Iowa State takes on Texas Tech, the only team that beat the cyclones at Hilton Coliseum this year. And that was one of Iowa State's worst performances of the season, especially defensively. Texas Tech got whatever they wanted in the first half. And then they made some tough, tough shots in the second half. Tech, they've got some shot makers and they'll be a challenge. Taiman Lipsy talks about that first time around. First half definitely was more of us not dictating, letting them get comfortable. And then once they

get comfortable, they can hit those shots in the second half. So it's a little bit of that, but at the same time, there are some late clock shots that they had to wear. Where we were on a run and it's kind of just one of those like that went in. But it starts with the beginning of the game. I'll get that. It goes without saying. But Iowa State bringing that same intensity, passion, and fight on defense that they brought against Arizona State. Then they'll be in that game against Texas Tech. A big opportunity for a team that knows exactly what's at stake. A chance at revenge, if you will, at the one team that beat them at Hilton Coliseum. Obviously the only team to beat us at Hilton. So he is one of those sort of revenge games. I guess you say, but we expect them as a team. They're a great team. We got a lot of great players. Obviously. So we're ready for another crack added in. They came in one in the wind more than last time we played them. So coming out, you know, having that mindset for us. We owe them data. The only team that beat us in Hilton. We can't let that slide. You know, we gotta be on March 27th. The time traveling comedy movie of

Give up the world. The cyclones get their chance at redemption and Hilton South. Chris Williams breaks down. I was state matching up with Texas tech. I was state rolled Arizona state in the opening game of the big 12 tournament, which sets up a rematch, but Texas tech, of course, the red raiders gave I always state their only loss of the season in Hilton, Coliseum, just a couple of weeks ago. How do I see the match up going? Well, for one, I think tech is really good. I love their head coach. I love their guards. They can hit shots. I also think that the performance in Hilton was a smidge fluke. I don't know if they can go out and hit 14 threes like that again against

this Iowa state defense. That was specifically the case in Hilton. Who knows, it's a little even down on a neutral floor despite the fact that Iowa state opens is a four and a half point favorite. Now, the metrics all like Iowa state buy around two to three. So this is obvious respect from Las Vegas for the cyclones playing in the team mobile center in Kansas state, which is essentially like a home game as we've seen for this Iowa state program over the years. What I like about Texas tech, they don't have those like dominant big guys that can give Iowa state problems. What I don't like is that outside shooting and coach McCaslin. He's got a really good game plan against Iowa state switch defense. We've seen it. We've seen those balls as long passes go over the top. See it every time Iowa state plays teams like Texas tech and BYU. So good match up in a way poor match up in the other. A lot of this will come down to shot making by both teams is Texas tech able to do it again against Iowa state. I don't know. I'm skeptical of that. But Iowa state team is streaky for as good as they looked on Wednesday. We've seen them look really

bad over the last month as well. I feel really good about this match up. I liked the bracket when it came out. I think Iowa state's highly motivated to put one up against Texas tech and if you win this, this could be good enough to bump you from a three to a two seed. There you have it from C-Dub.
