A Brief History of CypherCon
CypherCon was founded in 2016 by Michael Goetzman as an independent hacker conference designed to break away from the corporate feel of traditional tech events. Its first gathering, held at the Safehouse Spy Bar and the historic Pfister Hotel, exceeded expectations and attracted a large, enthusiastic crowd. Since then, the conference has grown exponentially, solidifying its reputation as a premier Midwest hacker gathering.
