Cultivating Mental Resilience at Work: A Conversation with Megan Wollerton

About this episode

What happens when success masks exhaustion, and you don’t realize it until it’s too late?

Megan Wollerton was thriving in a demanding, male-dominated industry, solving complex problems, rising through the ranks, and embracing the challenges of her career in oil and gas. She loved the work. But beneath the surface, something was off. Long hours, constant pressure, and the feeling of being always “on” were quietly taking a toll on her health, her relationships, and her sense of self. It wasn’t until she was unexpectedly let go that she finally paused long enough to ask: What have I been missing?

In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, Megan shares how that moment of professional upheaval became a catalyst for personal transformation. What began as a forced reset turned into a passionate journey toward wellness, resilience, and purpose - leading her to launch Life Force Wellness and help companies build healthier, more human-centered cultures.

We explore the deeper dimensions of burnout, how to recognize when you’ve normalized stress, and why even fulfilling work can come at a high personal cost if you’re not careful. Megan offers real tools for managing emotional triggers, rewiring negative thought patterns, and creating space for reflection and change.

This episode is an invitation to rethink what thriving truly looks like - at work and in life. Whether you’re at a crossroads, leading a team, or simply trying to stay afloat in a fast-moving world, Megan’s story and insights will inspire you to pause, take stock, and reconnect with what matters most.

Tune in to discover how disruption can become a doorway—and what it really takes to build a resilient, purpose-driven life.
