About this episode
Prior to the 1990’s, crime survivors argued that the Criminal Justice seemed ignore or minimize the suffering of Victims. Over the next couple of decades legislatures or the public via the initiate process, passed laws that recognized the suffering and rights of the victims. However, over the last five to ten years the political left via Criminal Justice Reforms has changed the narrative. They have defined the criminals as victims arguing society has collectively failed them, eliminating the concept of individual responsibility. I will be joined by two Victim’s Advocates, Ret Sgt Tania Owen, who’s husband Sgt Steve Owen was killed in the Line of Duty and Patricia Wenskunas the Founder/CEO of Crime Survivor’s Inc. We will discuss the plight of the true victims of crime.
