Creator of The White Lotus Blindsided on Survivor

Mike White, the creator of The White Lotus, got voted out of Survivor 50 during the March 18th episode. The self-proclaimed puppet master was blindsided by his close ally, Christian Hubicki, the runner-up from season 37. Mike had planned to target Angelina Keely, but switched his vote to Emily Flippin at the last second. Christian caught wind of the flip and rallied the Vatu tribe to turn on Mike instead. On CBS Morning's the next day, March 19th, Mike told the host he felt totally confused and caught off guard. He thought he was tight with most of the group and had no idea where went wrong. Mike joked that Christian might have burned bridges after landing a cameo in White Lotus season 3. He also admitted his fame from the show made it hard to play as just another contestant. These days, Mike is filming White Lotus season 4 in the South of France with stars like Chris Messina and Helena Bonham Carter.
