On March 6th, the Dallas Cowboys waved defensive tackle Perry and Winfrey this week as they tweaked their roster ahead of the 2026 NFL free. Agency period. Earlier, they restructured deals for quarterback Dak Prescott, left guard Tyler Smith, and wide receiver CD Lamb to free of cap space. Winfrey joined the league as a fourth round pick by the Cleveland Browns, selected 108th overall. He started college ball at Iowa Western Community College for two seasons before transferring to Oklahoma, where he earned second team All Big 12 honors both years. His rookie year showed promise with 13 games, 22 tackles, and half a sack, but an all-filled incident involving a threat led to his. Released by the Browns, since then, he's had limited NFL action, just two games total, one with the New York Jets in 2023. This past season, Winfrey bounced back from the UFL, where he played for the Birmingham Stallions to land with the Cowboys, the only UFL player too.

Make a 53-man roster, he appeared in one game on December 21st against the Los Angeles Chargers, logging two tackles and a loss. With Quinn and Williams at 28, Kenny Clark at 30, and Osa Odizua at 27 still on the Dept chart, Dallas seems set at the position, while positioning themselves for bigger moves in free agency.
