The Dallas Cowboys are beefing up their edge rush by trading for Rashon Gary right before the legal tampering period started today. They are not stopping there. Re-signing defensive end Sam Williams to a one-year deal worth $3 million. Williams, a second-round draft pick, bounced back from a torn ACL last season. With Micah Parsons traded to Green Bay, he had a big opening to step up as a keep-ass rusher. It did not click for him in 2025, but now the Cowboys have more depth beyond just James Houston as their only healthy edge player. Under new defensive coordinator Christian Parker, Williams get another chance in the rotation while shining on special teams.
