Cowboys Sign Derion Kendrick, Strengthening Secondary

0:00On March 25th, the Dallas Cowboys are bolstering their secondary by signing cornerback Darion Kendrick to a one-year contract. This move adds a veteran with solid experience to the mix as they gear up for the season. Kendrick got his start when the Rams picked him in the sixth round back in 2022. He spent time there, through 2023, sat out 2024, then bounced to the Seahawks and back to the Rams last year. For three full seasons, he's appeared in 47 games with 18 starts, grabbing three interceptions total. Two of those picks came during a stemless Seattle, where he played 10 games. This comes right after the Cowboys resigned cornerback Corey Balantine, who saw action in five games for them last year. Their secondary now features standouts like Deyron Bland and Shavon Reville, plus depth from guys like Kobe Durant and Kaelin Carson. With these additions, Dallas is building a deeper, more battle-tested group at corner, setting them up well for training camp and beyond.
