Cowboys Re-sign Edge Rusher Sam Williams

0:00On March 10th, the Dallas Cowboys just resigned Ed Rusher Sam Williams to a one-year deal worth $3 million, locking him in through at least the 2026 season. This move adds depth to their defensive front and keeps a familiar face around as they shift to a base three-four defense under new coordinator. Christian Parker Williams, a 27-year-old former second-round pick from the 2022 draft out of Ole Miss, brings elite athleticism back to the mix. He was the first Cowboys free agent to ink a deal anywhere in the league this off season. Early on, he flashed promise with 8.5 stacks over his first two seasons in a rotational role. But things derailed when he tore his ACL in training camp during year three. And last year, he managed just one sack across all 17 gangs, including five starts. Now on a provey contract, Williams joins forces with recent addition, Rashan Gary, plus Donovan as Arawaku, James Houston, and Maris Lufo on the edge.
