Slam the Gavel welcomes Heather Unbehaun to the podcast. She told her story of how she fled with her then nine year-old daughter in 2017, after the Judge John Dalton in Illinois illegally gave her abusive father full custody. She and her daughter were extremely close. Heather fled to protect her from her father, the emotionally abusive step monster as well as the corrupt court system.
They had been on the run for six years until Heather was arrested last May, as the father filed an Order of Protection against Heather right on Mother's Day. Heather hasn't seen or talked to her daughter since and she wants her daughter to know that she loves her very much.
The court system is continuing the corruption while Heather suffers from PTSD and wants to tell the truth of exactly what happened.
