His name is Ken Nielsen I'm going to be doing the countdown the truth radio show for a number of years now and it all started when Ken and I were having a conversation as we've done lots of times and We were talking on one day about some things we were building on websites to make it easy for people opposed to websites and One thing led to another I showed in that stuff and in part of the conversation he was telling me about You know the home-based business arena and the environment that some people were in and some people were naturally skeptical about some of the stuff because I'll share with you sometimes take a look at anything online. You have to be somewhat cautious for things that aren't right or might be wrong And this is even before AI and they've been scams so the reality was is we started talking and

2:03While we're doing that, I said well, let's do some radio shows on this so people can feel comfortable hearing you sling some sentences together And you know knowing that we back you on the stuff that you're working on over here on the building fortunes radio side So when we started to do this we needed the name for a show and we needed the name for domain name can give me a list and as I was going through the list I was like, well, I like that one. I like this one I like this one I wasn't going to make a decision until I went through most of them But I think I broke my rule when I came to count on the truth calm I really like that domain name number one. It's easy to spell number two It's a calm number three. It kind of tells you what it is you can count on the truth And that's what a lot of people are really looking for so we pick that domain name And that's what we call the radio show and if you go to count on the truth calm You'll be able to see all the cool things that Ken has been putting on that website as well as The feed that we have for this radio show in there and we talk about what everyone to talk about I can't believe it already we're done

3:05With January after this radio show One month out of the 12 already in 2026 and it's amazing We're going to talk about whatever one to talk about today on the radio show. So Ken, thanks for being here Hello, Peter The man with the crystal balls of the home business industry in fact Yeah, the many things the many aspects the different Area's concepts ideas all the things the motivational Ways that we look at this industry and and the many things that you contribute to it to make it so that it it makes sense And it makes it easier than what it could be because I think about How it used to be and what it is now and and the thing that comes to my mind right off the bat being you kind of Jolted me into perspective here is when you said that it's The last radio show of this month, which is pretty amazing that time flies like that But we've had some pretty incredible things happening especially with the weather in the

4:08Midwest and back east as big snowstorm and all the things that have come through And the deaths have been associated with it and the things that people have had to put up with it's just crazy, but The first thing it comes to my mind is the more things change the more things stay the same And if you don't get it figured out that you're going to have problems with Mother nature causing these problems especially when you've been for warned And you your attention has been brought to say hey you you better be prepared for at least three days Being able maybe not to get the store and have enough food and Taking care of the things that you need to do you need to pay attention to what's going on and I think sometimes we Just take some of that stuff for granted. I and I know that it gets frustrating too Because we talk about the weather people all the time and in my area we used to have a weatherman that was extremely accurate and he used to do it based up on The different fronts that would come through whether they were postfrontal or prefrontal

5:09He talked about changing and barometers the changing and they you met it in the air I mean he was just really great at what he did And I remember when the station came on and they said they had added four million dollars worth of new technical equipment And then they got the point where they were somewhat Reliable on that and it seems like the forecasting went downhill After that because it's other weatherman jelman that was so good at Using the information that he had Just made a lot of sense and then of course being an on-man amateur radio operator We used to get on a certain frequency in the morning and there would be people from different areas of The western United States and they would call in and give their report temperatures humidity barometer And you could kind of tell which kind of weather was headed your way And that was within 6 to 12 hours and that was very accurate also So Fascinating how technology has changed things, but I think it's made as complacent and other things So you have to be able to put it in a perspective and use it properly to make it work for you

6:14And I know on previous episodes Peter we've talked about how long it takes for people to find financial freedom financial independence And I wanted to bring up a particular Gentlemen that you're familiar with and I think we mentioned in our last Episode What we have a short video where he's actually given a presentation I think is important for people to just go through real quick and he he tried to promote a book that he read Uh, or that yeah that he read and kind of Pushed him or prompted him to take a look at some of the things that were going on in this industry and next thing you know without Spending his 40 years in the next trying to figure out what it was all about. He was Financially free within 11 month period. So Anyways, I just kind of wanted to go over that real quick and try to make sense of some of it and I'm trying to think of the book that he was talking about Was called um

7:16Oh, let's see what's that called? I've not even remembering myself I'll catch up here with it in just a second But he's got a book that he read and the the great turning and He says that he wants everybody that has never read this book. It's something that he he calls key And he says you really need to go and read this book and the reason that you need to read this book It's by the author Uh, Courtney trying to think of his first name Not very prepared here on this one Peter when it comes to this particular I'm not sure yeah, I'm not sure of these references otherwise that help you out Yeah, David Corton. I mean, I've got it here. I'm just trying to figure the top of my head I've heard the different people that have kind of brought this to point but uh, it's a uh powerful book that left impression for him To do uh, some of the things that were involved with just living life and he says the bottom line is it has to do with

8:24Achieving one's own personal Potential and full purpose of existence. So uh, some of the things that some of the highlights because I know people Just don't have time we talk about who likes to read books and who wants to go back and find out more inspiration Because we put some of these books on the website in case people are interested and we'll put this one there too But he talks about he says once you dive into this book you'll want everyone You know to read it. It's a powerful source of inspiration and guidance for those looking for an answer to achieve one potential and whole purpose of existence It will inspire more people to see more clearly the choices before them And then somebody there was some comments and there and a few things that were associated Uh, with it when I was looking at it that says parents who care about their children's futures must read this book It sheds light on dark places and empowers the reader to wake up take action and change things And so that in itself Hopefully will maybe make somebody

9:25Want to take a look at it and or at least uh, say what what's the deal with this particular Book and why why it was so so important with everything that Mark Arnell was talking about Now in the book because I'm just going to bring this uh, bring it to light just real quickly So we won't get too uh lost in the book itself. There are 22 chapters and The first part says part one is that choosing the future it says the choice Chapter two the possibility three the imperative and for the opportunity And then we kind of work through the different parts of the book and we get to the Uh, middle part of the book the different chapters and uh chapter twelve to struggle for justice 13 wake up call 14 prisons of the mind and then you get to the words to the end of the book chapter 21 is the liberating creative potential that we all have 22 is change the story change the future So there's a quick look at this particular book of trying to understand

11:32Were killed in an airplane crash and they had what they call get home itus disease And we joke about that a little bit, but in the aviation industry that actually You hear about that quite often You hear about plane crashes and then people say well that they have get home itus And I remember looking at the weather that they had shown when this plane Uh, it was a pilates PC12 I believe it's how they referred to it If the single turbo prop passenger plane and the military uses them because they're so reliable And the plane had been flown for a while and they had a big storm. They'd gone for a hunting Uh Get together in South Dakota And they were getting ready to come home and the weather wasn't really good But they weren't too worried because they knew that the power of the plane And what it could do and how it's been used before And so of course they did the the icing The weather was still bad. I mean when you looked at the

12:34What was going on? I'm surprised that the people at the airport said hey, this is just a bad idea And uh, the pilot himself thought that the plane was capable of flying in those conditions. So they boarded the plane 12 people on board and A mile out of the airport after it had taken off it crashed and killed nine of the 12 people and the president and The people that were involved with Keoni were killed in this plane crash And the reason I bring that up is sometimes we set ourselves up for failure As opposed to sending ourselves up for success. And so that's why I'm hoping that people listening to our Different dialogues and presentations. We do hear Peter. We'll understand that we try to Keep ourselves open minded and and stay prepared for some of the new things that are happening and Point people the right direction So I'm not sure if um if you had any customers from Keoni or know of that particular story

13:40In case people were using your services and products Any anything that you can relate to in that quick story Peter about Keoni. Does that company ring a bell at all Not really they not really. I'm going to just think that really we probably had a couple of customers with that But we're not one of our most popular ones. Okay Well, I know that I wasn't too familiar with it either because normally when you think of the companies out of Idaho Most of people that are associated with Melalucca and I know that you're you know about Melalucca and The different changes that have gone with that and I don't know if that's because of how long Melalucca has been around which is probably part of it but Very very popular the Melalucca company and I would imagine you've had quite a few customers from Melalucca Am I assuming the right thing on that? Okay. Yep. Absolutely. Yep. Yeah So it's interesting because I mean there's there's so much competition and so many good things that do come from the

14:43Home business industry and the businesses that are associated with it It would be interesting if you had time to go down the list of a hundred top companies and see kind of where people fit in or Where they're at it particular times in the Timeline of the industry itself. So There is one thing I want to bring up here real quick and About the time frame that's associated with maybe Mark Arnell's part presentation Because I think people will really be impressed with his presentation And that's the fact that he talks about the 40-year plan versus the four-year plan And how with his knowledge and experience and in fact using The plans that are associated with some of the companies out there today Don't take four years in fact he was able to accomplish Financial freedom and financial independence within 11 months period And I'm a believer that it is possible with the right company and with our technology everything that we have that helps us

15:44Promote our particular business. It's capable anywhere some six to twelve months depending on how serious a person is And how hard they want to work and use the principles and concepts that are associated with the technology involved So with that being said I have a fun story about a gal who is entrepreneurial which most people have never I'm sure that the name isn't even a ring of bell to anybody But we'll go to commercial break and on the other side the commercial break will bring this name up and I'm sure that probably Well, maybe even a hundred percent know of her Ingenuity and her invention and patents and everything associated with the particular product And I think people will be surprised when they find out what we have to say about this particular Given product to the whole world that's made the world a better place and a easier place to live So over to you Peter for maybe a commercial break and we'll come back and go from there

Yeah, I would just listen I'm still amazed that you're the commercial. They're saying that you're available to midnight If that is if that is a dedication or opening yourself up for a A number of phone calls. I don't know what else is. That's pretty amazing that especially in your neck of the woods till midnight, so Anyways, people need to take advantage of that and I have to be careful because I don't want you being mad at me That's okay Okay, but tell them to take advantage of that because it'll be pleasantly surprised at all the the different aspects it and things that you have to offer so

18:55Yeah, what I wanted to bring up is I want to bring up this gal this gal It was very ingenuitive, but she had the entrepreneurial spirit and because of her Inventive spirit at such a young age The greater part of her childhood was hanging around a manufacturing plant that was run by her father and her uncle And they what they did is they actually were involved in the the war world war two And they had industrial lace for grinding automobile gears and gun barrels and things that were associated with automotive and Hunting and things that were associated with the war also like I just mentioned anyways as she Ended up getting married and moving she was a mother of two And she decided to use the ingenuity that she had observed in her youth And which is really interesting because back then And we take it for granted one of the things that was made her

19:58Come up with this idea was the repetitive task of changing her youngest child sold Soiled cloth diapers bedsheets and clothing So she decided to craft a diaper covered to keep her baby and the surrounding area dry And this gal's name is Marion Donovan And that's why I said I bring up this name of Marion Donovan because if you say that I know that I wasn't particularly Key to that name. I've always wondered about who was behind the idea and how it all evolved We just figure it just comes along naturally, but actually it's because somebody thought about it And wanted to bring it to fruition and bring it to The possibility of people using it But here's the thing here's the catch and the thing that really makes it really interesting To get to the point where she was she actually sat down at a sewing machine with a shower curtain And after several attempts she finally completed what she referred to as the waterproof diaper cover

20:59And I thought oh well that's interesting And so unlike the rubber baby pants that were already on the market her design did not cause a diaper rash and didn't pinch the child skin So Being that she had finally perfected this and come up with a thing that to use snap fasteners In place of the dangerous safety pins that were commonly used She came up with a name for it Which This just kind of I'm not sure how this even makes sense But they called the diaper cover the boater and And the reason was I thought I had something to do with trapping the water or the liquid and some of the other things associated with having to clean diapers But at the time they thought it looked like a boat the way it was also and everything was put together. So Anyway, that caught me off guard But She went out and she talked to a whole bunch of people There could be investors and thought that the idea would catch on and just

22:00Really change things and there was nobody that would even consider her invention No manufacturers would even look at it and this is back in probably 46-47 So she went out on her own And it was a success and it was debuted at Sanctus Avenue in 1949 So even from 46 to 49 even three years She after it was debuted in 49 she actually received a patent in 1951 And she promptly sold the rights to Kiko corporation And then her next project was to instead of just buying these covers the boater so to speak She actually was the determined to come up with a fully disposable diaper And so anyways to make the story a long story short It was not only strong and absorbent but it conveyed water away from the baby skin So she took to her finished product to every large manufacturer in the country

23:02But once again no takers. I mean unbelievable And so everyone that she talked to said that it was impractical and didn't make sense at that particular time And it wasn't until nearly a decade later in 1961 that A gentleman by Victor Milv drew upon Donovan's vision and created the product called Pampers Now to me that is amazing that you take all those years with something that makes so much sense And why people give up on some of their ideas or their aspirations or their dreams When these people take this many years just to come up with a simple concept and an idea And I'm just thinking people people out there that Actually know about Pampers I've got to be thinking you know if only that I'd have thought about that because I always wish that I would have had the chance to in Invest in and create and produce the frisbee because that would just something that fascinated me because of my

24:08ability to Watch things fly and float and and do whatever you can with it But to think that they sell more frisbees than basketball football and baseball combined yearly is just amazing and we can we can talk about a whole bunch of the things like the Barbie doll and The hula hoop and and different things How many people do you think have been affected by the creation or the invention of Pampers Peter would you say at least 95 percent? Oh Without a doubt yeah, I don't know anybody that does cloth diapers anymore Yeah, I can't make don't even I'm trying to think of like How old I was when this stuff happens because I thought I remember my parents using a diaper service Like they used to I think I don't remember I think they used to take this stuff and Basically bundle it up and you'd pay for diaper services You know like somebody would take him wash him bring yours back Right, I remember I have to ask I'll have to ask my mom about that or yeah, yeah, yeah, crazy

25:14Because I was involved in that too, and I remember the safety pens, you know As you get the point where you don't want to wear safety pens and every once in a while they catch you Just a little bit and say okay, you tuck in your hold in your tummy and tuck your tummy And they pull on that one side boy once in a while that pen had grabbed you and you're like oh And you could always hear your mom saying sorry listen 200 million years. Yeah, those are what I have not listened 200 million years Yeah, absolutely amazing. Yeah And so I bring that uh that story up real quick just to hopefully Give people to maybe take a chance to go listen to mark yarn house presentation About the 40-year plan versus the four-year plan, which is really probably six to 12 months now with everything that we have To offer And the fact that if you're entrepreneurial spirit and even if you're not there would be a reason To take a look at the possibilities that are out there Because if you need a second income or a way to make some extra

27:14the floors the living room From kitchen to bathroom And it was just interesting how was all put together and by getting other people to Be distributors which made sense and still makes sense That's why say the more things change the more things stay the same If you had a big enough group you were creating percentages from those groups to create another income and some of the people that were involved in that Company were making ridiculous amounts of incomes where others struggled just to get buying and then there were the groups that just paid for their products And basically got them for free But the concept lasted and people don't realize how long that amway was actually in the court systems trying to make their Presence known and make it so that it was a legal aspect of Individuals becoming distributors for particular services and products And at the same time when I bring that up I have to remind people that even franchising

28:16Was called upon at one time to be Believed as an illegal way of promoting services and products and I don't think people even take a second thought about that They just assume if you're some big franchise whether it's Yamaha Kawasaki Polaris Trying to think of some of the other name I have others a bunch of other names that you can bring in there, but Then some of them have kind of come and gone But you look at the car industry itself. I mean you look at Ford you look at Dodge you look at Buick You look at the little guys that have kind of come in and made big big names for themselves Kia and and Another list that goes on It's just crazy how it's all evolved and we just don't really unless somebody really pointed out to you and says Hey, what do you know about this or what are you thinking? What are the possibilities? Have you ever looked at owning your own business? And of course then you get some of the things that are kind of a pushback. Well, I'm not good itself

29:21I would have no idea how to run a business. I don't know how you would do the warehousing I don't know how you would keep tracking employees. It's just easier to work for somebody else What if all that has been taken care of and you did it just comes down to promotion And plugging into the system that's already there and you getting to build a group build an organization That is actually going to make you Probably an income that will equal or maybe match or even surpass That what you're making As you do your 40-year plan working for the man so to speak So a lot of things to be involved and I know that I'm kind of throwing a whole bunch of concepts and ideas out there And try not to lose people but keep them focused and still keep them Interested in how everything ties together, but what the potential of this industry has to offer And it's just really super especially this time of the year especially when we're trying to Now it's it's kind of like we went through the Christmas period

30:23And we spent a lot of money and especially if you're using credit cards Bill is to pay and cards to pay back Why not have a look at maybe what I don't know if people know what Card linking is but we have a company that is associated with card linking And what that means is being this you're part of the Opportunity in the company as you bring people into see what it's all about You're actually going to be able to save money and pay back your bills in half the time that you normally would have taken to get those bills paid So boy if that isn't just surface information. I don't know what is But anyways, hopefully we've created a little bit of interest in the fact that maybe they want to go watch the mark yarn L presentation mark yarn L Went like I said from being broke to 11 went period to living his dream living his life his lifestyle Totally from one side to the other And I know we've talked about Danny Johnson. She's another gal that was living out of her car basically broke

31:26And heard about the opportunities in the home business industry and that being one of the youngest millionaires in the Come in country and She I think he was 23 years old when she became a millionaire took her a couple of years is all to Create her second income which out did her main Work career as being a waitress in a restaurant Fascinating story fun story great personality So anyways without being Getting too carried away and maybe on a different track and and leading to some other stories But at least we keep our options open like we always say you're only as free as your options Peter So we got some things that people need to take a look at and we'll hopefully take a little bit of time to do that So it looks like time is caught up with us time to close things down so I'll let you I'll let you Tie the ribbon so to speak anything that you would like to add before we we close the door so to speak

32:26Oh all good things but the most important things people have to realize that things are things have changed and a lot of people need to find security from the individual as opposed to from the job And there's a whole bunch of layoffs going on right now because of AI And that's more than just a rumor But those are some real situations I think uh Amazon is letting go of 16,000 people like right now Wow a lot of other tech companies and you would think that a lot of people thought that Amazon would be a secure job And it was for a real long time You know you probably had a decade where it was a really good job to have and now they're laying off 16,000 people and Lots of other companies are doing the same thing and it's either because of Lots of reasons either AI or business models changing but the reality is it's It's it's hard to find security in a job You got to find security in stuff you're working on and maybe we'll talk about that next week as well The Ken thanks for being here thanks for the great examples and Thanks for bringing me back to my childhood talking about diapers and papers and stuff like that
