Episode 344: IBJJF 2024 was a controversial championship! There was a disqualification of Tainan Dalpra against Francisco Lo which was to a questionable judgement with no bad intentions involved and the position technically not illegal but was deemed a heel hook attack. This left the Gi worlds crowd with a bad vibe. Has the rule structure started to really negatively impact the game.
Could Heel Hooks save the Gi Game? This one change would significantly change the way the game is being played, worm guard would be risky, 50/50 wouldn't be safe and stalling would be deadly with new leg attacks available.
