Here's more Durham news for March 10th. Robert Cosby, Jr., the 23-year-old son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby, died from an apparent overdose on February 23, 2026. New police reports reveal he had a close call three years earlier on Valentine's Day 2023, when responders rushed to his parents' home, around 4.24 pm. Fire and medical crews performed chest compressions on Robert until he regained consciousness, and took him to a hospital. Meanwhile, another report from November 2022 showed Mary refusing to cooperate with police over a hit-and-run investigation at their house. Officers saw the suspect vehicle pull into their garage, but Mary claimed it had not moved in ages. She and husband Robert Sr. got defensive on the phone, with him saying he did not like cops and her bringing up race. In January 2026, Robert faced questions about a 2024 domestic violence case with his then-wife, Alexiana Smokov.
He admitted pushing and possibly kicking her, but denied injuries, while she alleged strangling and serious bruising. Mary told police she knew of no physical fights, and called Smokov toxic. Robert was facing assault charges when he died. The family held his funeral on March 7th, with Mary's casmates there, but no filming, and they shared a statement about finding peace and faith.
