For the past 30 years, I've changed my phone message EVERY SINGLE DAY! It's a daily activity, as automatic as brushing my teeth. I actually do 2 unique messages daily: one on my cell phone and one on my landline. The time has come to share them. (Perhaps the time has come to get rid of my landline? 🙂

Hi, it's Thursday, March 12, on this date in 1933, FDR did his very first fireside chat. Don't you love that term fireside chat? Great presentations are not monologues. They're dialogues. Be careful not to talk at people today in your conversations. Conversation means two people. It means you ask questions. You listen, you wait, you absorb, and take what you heard and respond. Where's your fireside chat coming next? Take the time to talk with people instead of talking at people. And choose an environment that's friendly. Think about all the aspects. Where are you? How are you going to address? What is your ultimate objective? And then, converse. That's your challenge today. See you by the fireside.
