Conversations with Michelle Yeoh (2019)
About this episode
Career retrospective with Michelle Yeoh. Moderated by Jenelle Riley.
Michelle Yeoh is recognized as one of the greatest and most successful actresses from the East, who has shattered stereotypes on screens both big and small for more than 30 years. She can most recently be seen starring in Jon M. Chu's romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians and in CBS’s Star Trek: Discovery. In this program, she will discuss her illustrious career from her beginnings as one of Hong Kong cinema’s most impressive female action stars, to the Oscar-nominated international hit Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2001, to her latest role as the overbearing matriarch of a wealthy family in Crazy Rich Asians. Among other things, Yeoh will address the historical significance of Crazy Rich Asians being the first Hollywood production of a contemporary story in over 25 years to feature an all Asian cast.
