The team has agreed to a new four-year deal worth $52 million, with $32 million guaranteed, that gives him an average of $13 million per year, making him the fourth highest paid center in the league. Earlier this week, McGovern figured it was over because the Bills had not reached out to him at all. While reports confirmed the contract is now locked in, before free agency even starts on Monday, at noon eastern time. McGovern joined the Bills last year after being a third-round pick by the Cowboys in 2019. He stepped in at center this past season, when the team released Mitch Morse. The Bills moved fast to secure him, knowing he ranked 30th on the top free agent list. They did not want to risk losing their starter once the market opens up.
