Compassion Learned is Compassion Shared with Lynsey Myhan

About this episode

Lynsey Myhan graciously returns to talk about her approach to showing compassion to her students. The episode begins by wrapping up our discussion about how compassion was shown to her family after the loss of loved ones. The discussion shifts to her role as an educator and the difficult balance of meeting them where they are and pushing them to their capabilities. Lynsey shares about her own struggles with math. She was able to overcome some of the negativity because of the encouragers in her life. After taking a course on special education, she decided to follow that path for her career. Her goal is to be an encouragement to those who learn differently and their parents.
