Colts Trade Pittman to Steelers, Clear Cap Space

This move clears $24 million in salary cap space for the Colt once the deal becomes official on Wednesday at 4 p.m. when the new league year starts. Pittman spent six seasons with Indianapolis after they selected him in the second round back in 2020. He became their top receiver early on, topping 1,000 receiving yards in 2021 and posting career highs with 109, catches and 1,152 yards in 2023 despite quarterback changes. Over the last couple of years though, his numbers dipped as teammate Alec Pierce rose up with Pittman finishing 2024 at 69, catches for 808 yards in 2025 at 80 catches for 784 yards.
