Colts Sign Familiar Linebacker Davis-Gaither

He's got starting experience, including 13 starts for the Arizona Cardinals last season, where he racked up 117 tackles. Davis-Gaether spent the previous five years working under the Colts' defensive coordinator, Lu and Arumo during their time together in Cincinnati. There, he played mostly as a rotational player before landing that bigger role in Arizona. The Colts' line-backer room has seen big changes this off-season. They traded long-time starters at Year Franklin, to Green Bay, and didn't resign veteran week-side line-backer, Germaine Pratt, leaving a real experience, gap. Teams like Indianapolis often make multiple moves at key positions during the off-season, so more additions could be on the way to shore up the defense. This signing gives the Colts a familiar face with proven tackle numbers as they rebuild that unit, heading into training camp.
