Colts Add Safety Nasir Adderley, Strengthening Secondary

0:00On April 14th, the Indianapolis Colts just added their third safety this offseason by signing Nacer Adderley right as the 2026 NFL draft gets closer. Adderley hasn't seen game action since 2022 when he retired during the 2023 offseason, but he announced his comeback this past February. That final year with the chargers, he gave up 13 catches on 20 targets for 13.2 yards per reception, his career high. But he snagged two picks in broke up two passes with his lowest mistackel rate ever at 12.5%. Now the Colt have Adderley joining Jonathan Owens and Wanye Thomas from Free Agency, plus Hunter Wooler already on the roster, all battling for, snaps next to their main guy. Coaches are building depth here since no one's a guaranteed starter, giving them real options in the secondary without banking on just one player. This move doesn't shake up their draft plans at all.
