Colorado Sends A WARNING To The Entire NHL 🔥 | BB Clips

About this episode

The boys are back breaking down a brutal night for the Calgary Flames after a 9-2 blowout loss to a red-hot Colorado Avalanche team that’s starting to look like a serious problem in the Western Conference. In his first game against Calgary since the trade, Nazem Kadri made a statement with a two-goal performance, while Boomer, Pinder, and Rhett debate just how dangerous this Avs team really is. Is Colorado hitting another level at the perfect time, and is there anyone in the West capable of slowing them down?

Oh, they're ever did not take long. Yeah, if you had the abs money line, you had the abs last night with bet three, six, five, it took about four minutes. Why does that? Four year for your bet to go through. Avalanche led five, nothing after the first period. En route to a nine, two, dropping of the Calgary Flames. How many times have they scored? Oh, I mean, it's gosh, at least once today. They have those games happen, guys. I'm just excited that's game one. Oh, he's freaking great. I did like the fact that we were on the prime talking. And we said how, you know, the one thing about the Flames is, they don't get blown up. They're going to show up and we're going to add tails off. They're going to be there through thicketh it. Yeah, I can also cursed kale. He got hurt last night. What? Yeah. Got hit by Klapka, took a couple turns and then did not return for the third.

That being said, the score. Yeah, not my four. He put up three helpers, but yes, he was in discomfort. We're hoping that he's fine. Yes. Teas and peas to our good friend, kale McCarr. But yes, not into the final. A lot of McKinnon and natious and Codri and some Kalker colleagues. Codri, Jack, did we miss the Codri goal? Like we are like, yeah, do. Yeah, there was a lot of things that could have been forecast against the former team. Yeah, he's going to score twice. And the Victor Olipson one would have paid two. His former team. Yeah, let's get punched into face for not making that bet. You know what? You were pinching. I usually do the bets. So I appreciate you stepping up when I was. Yeah, I failed. I dropped the ball. Although, what happened in Vancouver last year? Well, in Vegas. Yeah, you had Vegas new coach. They're going to win. Correct. It was. Avalanche. Correct. Did they win by two? Vancouver was a bit or one. Nothing and two one. And with an empty net or Vegas one by two.

You're partly hit. At a boy. Hey, those empty nets, man. They still don't know what you're paying. I'm telling the empty net goals. The most underrated goal that the thing in the game. I think. Yes, something. Thanks. Thanks, man. Did you use AI to figure that out? It's just all. It's all my years of studying the game. Hey, yeah. Like a veteran hunter out there. I'm a hunter who's rotten. So he goes over here. Got a seal for thing. Yeah. It is it. Watching it last night. And it does two, nothing. Three, nothing. Of course, there goes wolf incomes. Cooley five and all right. Well, you do appreciate that for a team that is near the bottom of the league in standings. This does not happen very often. It does. Vancouver. It happens all the friggin time. Vancouver is. They get their doors blown off on a near-nightly basis. The most recently Saturday. I believe at the dome. Yeah, just there on the grass.

Rise way in place. The flames are usually right there. They've lose by a couple. But the efforts usually quite good. And they battle. Oh, the down by three. And then score three. A couple of short-handed goals. Hey, all of a sudden, this thing's tied at three going into the third. They find ways to make it close. So I don't know what we, I don't know what we saw last night. And I think you saw a team that's really effing good. Yeah. So that you styled in that lost their last game at home and said enough of that. We're going to play some hockey. The other thing that has happened all year. But it's been with the last seven games. Is magnified more? Is that this team sucks on the road? And this team's really good at home. Yeah, and I don't understand that. That doesn't mean I, I don't disagreeing with the statement. But it doesn't make sense in my head. How, yeah, it's confusing. I say there's change in coaching, but it's not that much. No, like they're twice as good at home. They're a 602 team at home. And they are a 303 team on the road. That's worse than the Kanox. Like when they go on the road.

It's at home, man. New era. Like everybody's feeling good about themselves. Like that. But like to see them go on a heater at home and everyone freak out, it's natural. They're like they still got a six game road trip. They've been awful on the road. I don't know what the odds would be or the numbers would be. Half those teams that they beat over the last played in Edmonton the night before. And they were more excited to play in Edmonton and have a way better effort. So a lot of cultural capital than they did. Yeah, there's that too. When you're, if it's a back-to-back in Alberta and you see the back-up in Edmonton sees the starter, it's not everything. It doesn't explain all the results. But there's a reason that Vasolevsky's the starter and UNICEO Hansen makes nearly a minimum and has a job in the NHL. He has a backup. Like he's not good. But I don't think that it was just bad effort or being on the road that ended up costing the 92 loss last night. I think it has a lot to do with that upper end talent. Zoom zooming around the ice.

Yeah. We talked about the Codra Fit 2. Like it seems like that's sorted better than it was out of the gate. Their power play was the worst in the NHL Dino. I think three weeks ago you brought that up. Yeah, it's certainly not that anymore. It's jumped up the last couple of weeks for sure. Which felt inevitable. And you had some new pieces. Like where does Codra slide in here? What are we doing? You know, Landis Cog is now back. It's like a back-to-back in Landis Cog route. So. Yeah, Leckman came back a couple of games ago and Landis Cog. Yeah, he's, it's weird with him. They're better with him. You just feel like it was, oh, it's nice that he's back. It's a good habit in the room. But he does change things for them. He's in hawks. He's the captain. And we talked about it. I think he does take some stuff off of Nathan's plate. To get him has to, there's less he yet needs to worry about that suddenly just kind of gets thrust upon him when Landis Cog isn't around. Whether it's media, whether it's just on ice shit, room stuff, that sort of thing. So, yeah, and then we've also watched this Colorado team just sort of,

like, would they have three or four regulation losses into January? Yeah. Like, at some point, you're like, can we get to the playoffs here? And now you're in that final, okay, two weeks in change in the regular season. We got a cranking up, fellas. They weren't going to finish with the worst power play in playing 500 hockey. They're going to get rolling here. They know what's up. Emerson yourself in all things soccer ahead of this summer's World Cup. I'm Alex Abnos, senior sports editor from the Guardian. It's a bit much, it's a bit too real. Maybe you can just talk with a slight delay. Be sure to listen to our Football Weekly podcast for on-the-move expert analysis.
