Colin Jost Picks SNL's Best Cold Open: Katie Couric & Sarah Palin

The longtime writer and weekend update anchor chose the Katy Korak interview with Sarah Palin from season 34. That sketch aired in the third episode of 2008, hosted by Anna Ferris. She featured Amy Poler as Korak grilling Tina Fey's Palin in one tight, hilarious conversation. Joes credits Seth Meyers for writing it, with help from Fey and Poler. For Joes, it's pure nostalgia from his early days as a writer. He loves how his showcases those three legends bouncing off each other.
