Cole Hutson Signs with Capitals, Ready for NHL Debut

Nineteen-year-old defenseman Cole Hudson signed a three-year entry-level contract on Sunday with an average annual value of $9.75, $1,000. The team drafted him 43rd overall in the 2024 NHL draft. Hudson wrapped up his sophomore season at Boston University over the weekend. He topped the terriers and assists with 22 and points with 32 while ranking third in goals with 10 over 35 games that earned him all hockey-east first team honors for the second straight year. From a hockey family in St. Louis, Hudson stands 5 foot 10 and weighs 165 pounds. He is the younger brother of Montreal Canadian's defenseman, Lane Hudson and Edmonton Oilers, forward prospect, Quinn Hudson. Internationally, he starred for the United States at the I.I.H.F.
