About this episode
It's April of 2011. A man named Anxiang Du opens an envelope from the court. Inside, he finds a legal document that would change his life, and the lives of another family completely. For Du, he had been mired in more than a decade of legal disputes and now, there was no more room left for him to run. That very night, he would write a farewell note to his family, before proceeding to commit one of Britain's most chilling crimes.
Part 1 - We trace the history and tense relationship between the Dus and the Dings. Where their business partnership originated from, and how it soured to a messy legal battle that pushed Du to the brink.
Part 2 - We follow Du as he slips across the border and vanishes after his horrific act, leading authorities from multiple agencies on a wild chase that spanned years and continents.
