Cody White's Special Teams Skills Boost Seahawks Roster Battle

The former Michigan State star signed as an undrafted free agent back in 2020 and joined the team in 2023. He's now set to fight for a spot on the 53 man roster heading into next season. White earned a place on last year's initial roster thanks to his work on special teams. He played in 10 games, catching three passes for 90 yards, including a big touchdown against the commanders. He also handled four kickoff returns for 106 yards. Head coach Mike McDonald clearly values White's first utility in those roles. That gives him a real shot, despite the Crowder receiver room. The Seahawks kept their top three from last year by resigning with Sheet Shaheed before free agency. Meanwhile, Jackson Smith and Jigba and Cooper Cup lead the group, with Tori Horton likely locking down the fourth spot as a sophomore.
