I would look around here most of us remember exactly where we were. I remember my grandparents used to say they were talking about Pearl Harbor that way. Right? And then now our generation and generation since up until my daughter, who she was born a month before 9-11, we all know where we were. And exactly what we were doing and exactly how we felt and not just then really ever since how it changed everything. We talked to the team a little

2:03bit about it today. We took them to the 9-11 Museum in the spring and it was powerful. And a lot of the guys are younger guys so they didn't know much about it really at all. So they learned so much about it. For me, it's a story of heroes. It's a story of this particular culture. It's kind of a human story about people who are creating a God's image to be courageous and strong and to be unselfish and caring and to make the ultimate sacrifice in so many cases. To run into the smoke, which is what faith is, it's believing in the unseen and the things that you can't be assured of trusting in those things. That's what faith is. And that's what we're kind of called to do in a real courageous way. And that day demonstrated that and all those stories that you hear, all those audio clips that you get of the phone messages that we're left. The firefighters. The latter one company. Those are those are the things that mean so much. So for us to be able to be a

3:06part of that and to honor the heroes of that day who live on forever in our culture. That's something that means so much. So to be in New York and to be a part of that, we were actually here for the 20th anniversary with the visiting team. And it was really meaningful then. And now to be on the other side of that with the Giants is is even a bigger, bigger thing. So players are honored by it, coaches are honored by it, fans, I know feel the same. They're honored by it. And we're going to go out there and try to honor it by playing a great football game, playing our best football, doing our best under whatever circumstances occur in sports. It's different, but but you can't honor it with your effort. So we're going to try to do that. All right, what questions you have? Have a milk look today. Be practiced. How unique is it working with a player in a situation like this where you have to wait for him to make a decision. It's not that unique. I mean, you see it's just normal and I fell stuff. It's, it's normal. At least it's never. It's never. It's always individualizing. It is what guys work through stuff all the time. I mean, so it works. Does that complicate your change? How do you prepare for it? It's the same. It's just it's it's always unpredictable. I can't predict it. Nothing's ever perfect, Pat. I mean, if you had it all perfect, then you know, everything would be good. But what do they say? You know, you got great. What do they say? Everybody's got a plan to like punch in the mouth, right? That's what football does. You get punched in the mouth in the football. That's just part of it. You know, are you going to go down like my

5:14dad says, like a sack of sour apples? I like that, right? I said, how does sour? Now, not that sour like in green apples, sour like in over rite rotten apples, right? Right? When you get hit in the face, you go down like a sack of sour apples or you stand and deliver your punch back. So I think that's just part of it. Jack Harboh was here today. I'm not asking who's going to, oh, someone, I'm not asking who's going to start, but how do you feel about the guys that you have there now as you go against maybe two of the best receivers in the league? 6:15I'm excited. I'm excited to see it. You know, we have a lot of respect for those guys. Not just those two guys either. Number 19 is really good too. So the tight ends are really good. You know, he's one of the best receiving tight ends in the league. So, you know, you just respect all those guys as players to go against. And I'm looking forward to seeing our guys go against them. You know, you guys cost bath. No, not really. We may have met, but I don't really remember, but a ton of respect for his work. You know, we played against the Eagles, played against the Broncos, we used coached him for those teams. And he's always had the secondary, you know, sharp and lined up and on point. So he's been he's been a great coach in the league. I'm sure you've done it before. How did that change? You're perhaps one of guys never, you know, been in the role he's in. Like he's never called it because how do you prepare for that? It didn't change that much. I mean, you in the first game, I don't think you ever really know. Uh, he's going to definitely has a system. You know, you have to believe that he's going to, he's going to run, but there's going to be wrinkles. Even if we were playing Vic Fangio in the opener, who you do have you have seen before, he's not going to come into the game doing exactly what he's

7:16always done. Uh, so I think it's always a big question mark what you're going to get in the first game. What do you expect emotionally for you like the first game at home, you know, in this kind of atmosphere? I don't know. Uh, we're going to see. I don't think it's going to be a problem. I don't think I'm going to lose control and start solving on the sidelines or anything like that. I think it's going to be meaningful. Is it something that you want to like take in? And give yourself a moment to see, you know, it is. I'm sure you remember your first game in Baltimore. Yeah, my first game in Baltimore, the first thought was, hey, don't, don't, don't, don't mess this thing up, you know. And that might be my first thought thought in this game too. You know, try not to mess it up. It's probably everybody's thought you want to be more plus than you are minus. But also, uh, it will be a great moment to take in like, my wife always says you have to, you have to enjoy these moments and you have to like, recognize them for what they are. That's always been a challenge for me, maybe for a lot of

But to see that stadium, the biggest stadium in the National Football League full of the, you know, the craziest, most excited fans in the National Football League for maybe the most important historical moment, honoring the most important event that the National Football League is honored. Yeah, that's got to be a moment that you want to take in for a second. To be back for a second. Since an idea, I think, 18 years ago, did you have internally a natural human doubt as to whether or not you could do this at a high level? And now 18 years later, what are your emotions? You know you could do it at a high level. So how different was that experience? I could question. I think, I think we all, yeah, we always have some doubts, but I would, I don't know, maybe it's terrible to say, but I really kind of didn't, you know, kind of pretty much did believe that I could do it. But it really isn't, as the coach, it really isn't you. That's the thing that you got to remember. It's not about the coach. It's not about Christian Parker so much or Shady or Denard. It's all, it's about the players, you know, and then I can

9:26remember we had a, we had a double reverse quarterback bomb that the Eagles made popular on the goal line when they threw it, right? So the test done passed in the Super Bowl. But we threw it to Flacco of all people, 40 yards down the field. And he chased it down and made like a reaching grab that won us the game for the winning score. And he was just, I got down to the 10 and he got to see the hands on him. And I mean, who to predict that, you know, and that's why we're on the first game. John, I'm talking about, I'm talking about emotions. You not just you, but your team, it's 9-11, it's opening night, it's the Cowboys. Can the game become too big? Do you have to tell your players, let's not get ahead of ourselves and just concentrate and play the game? Well, definitely that is the, that is the message or a message. I didn't really have to say it too much other than you talk about, you know, we're going to be us. But I told him, I talked about being in tension about what does that really mean? What does it really mean to be us? And that should bring the focus back on the game, which is played, you know, between the lines, between the
