- CoreWeave (CRWV) surged after the AI spending frenzy spurred faster sales growth than anticipated, with sales expected to be $3.45 billion to $3.6 billion in the third quarter. The firm's backlog was $104 billion at the end of the quarter, and it inked more than $25 billion in new customer commitments after the period ended, suggesting that “AI demand remains strong”. CoreWeave raised its revenue outlook to a range of $12.4 billion to $13.2 billion for the full year, and its shares soared as much as 23% to $111.05 after markets opened in New York on Wednesday.
- Home Depot (HD) shares fell after the company announced that Chair, President and CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave of absence. During Decker's absence, Senior Executive Vice President Ann-Marie Campbell will oversee day-to-day operations and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Richard McPhail will oversee financial management. Home Depot expects Decker to return within the next few months, and the company's leadership expressed confidence in the interim leadership plan.
- United States Antimony (UAMY) shares are dipping after the company posted second-quarter results that missed analyst estimates and cut its full-year revenue outlook in half. The company's earnings per share was breakeven, falling short of the one-cent figure analysts had forecast, and revenue totaled approximately $7.93 million for the quarter.
