Clare-Based Welsh Author Geraint Jones On His New Book

Clare FM

About this episode

From diplomatic security work in some of the world's most challenging conflict zones to writing novels overlooking the Shannon Estuary, Geraint Jones has had an extraordinary journey. Originally from South Wales, Geraint has lived and worked across Africa, the Middle East and Afghanistan, and experienced the conflict in what is now Zimbabwe firsthand. Now living in West Clare, he has just published his second novel, Beyond The Fever Trees, a story inspired by that conflict and exploring the human and moral consequences of war. Alan Morrissey was joined by author Geraint Jones to talk about the book, his remarkable career, and his new life as a full-time writer. Cover Picture (c) By John Wynne Hopkins
