It's April 4th. You're listening to Entertainment and celebrity news today, AI-powered pop culture updates. I'm Corey with The Story. Chris Pratt just dropped some sad news about those brutal storms that hit Hawaii last month. The 46-year-old actor, famous for playing Owen Grady in Jurassic World back in 2015, said one of the sets from that movie his. Characters bungalow got totally wiped out by the heavy cone of low rains. He spilled the details during promo for his new Super Mario Galaxy flick, playing a game with co-star Charlie Day. They showed him an old photo of himself on the motorcycle with Velociraptors, and that's when he reminisced about filming there over a decade ago. Meanwhile, Aquaman star Jason Mamoa had his own close call, evacuating his family from a Wahoo's North Shore as power cutout and floods raged. He posted on Instagram about the chaos, sending love to folks still in danger. The storms caused the worst flooding in Hawaii in more than two decades, with damages hitting
around $1 billion, according to Governor Josh Green. Most of Jurassic World was shot on a Wahoo in Kauai, at spots like Kauallua Ranch in the Honolulu Zoo, plus some Louisiana sets. Now Mamoa's teaming up with Metallica's Kirk Hammett for relief efforts, including a benefit concert on April 23rd. Others are stepping up to help Hawaii rebuild from this mess.
