Chris Mailander is the CEO of Ironheart Corporate Advisory. Over the last 25 years, he has worked across five continents and nine industries helping CEOs, leaders of nations and global investors navigate their most critical moments – while creating billions of dollars in new financial value for the companies and economies they lead.

Working in many post-conflict emerging economies over the years has left Chris with a myriad of interesting stories and experiences, including setting up the fraud and anti-corruption system for the government of Nigeria, focused on the $19 billion per year oil sector in a highly corrupt economy. He was also hired by the government of Iraq following the inception of the second Gulf War and the fall of Saddam Hussein to help set up Iraq’s first wireless mobile networks by selling their spectrum to outside international vendors, which resulted in the highest gross revenue sharing ever committed in an international telecommunications auction.

Chris has been the CEO of several corporate spinoffs, an international M&A lawyer, senior director of new venture development for a global management consulting firm, and vice president of a global communications company. He holds an advanced legal degree with honors from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was also an adjunct professor. He has been an adjunct fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a leading foreign policy think tank, and is published in a number of academic journals.
