Chris Hughton's Prostate Cancer Journey: Early Detection & Positivity

0:00On April 24th, Chris Heiden, the former manager of Brighton and Newcastle, just opened up about his prostate cancer diagnosis from April of last year. At 67 years old, he caught it early and went straight into surgery, the following May, which went off without a hitch. He stayed calm through it all, figuring he'd handle whatever came next without panicking. After weighing his options with solid medical advice, he chose to have his prostate removed, and the whole process has been smooth sailing. Houton built a legendary career first as a fullback, especially with Tottenham, where he racked up nearly 400 appearances and grabbed a UEFA, cut plus two FA Cups back in the early 80s. He also earned 53 caps for Ireland, and wrapped up playing with West Ham and Brentford.
