中国进博会是一场政治秀？China’s 6th CIIE: a political showcase?

中国国际进口博览会11月5日在上海开幕，这是中国第六次举办以进口为主题的国家级大型博览会。

不过，就在进博会开幕前，中国欧盟商会公开批评，进博会已变成一场“雾里看花的政治秀”。

进博会到底是一个“中国市场买全球”的平台，还是一个“政治作秀的舞台”？进博会举办六年，中国开放的大门越开越大了吗？

Shanghai is hosting the China International Import Expo (CIIE) from 5 to 10 November. This is the sixth time that China is holding the annual trade fair launched by President Xi Jinping in 2018 to promote the country's free trade credentials and tackle criticism of its trade surplus with many partners.

Before its opening ceremony, the European Union Chamber of Commerce criticised the CIIE as a political showcase and "largely smoke and mirrors".
