Welcome back to the podcast today. We have an exciting episode just yesterday Chatchy BT released images 2.5 and they already have a pretty impressive image generator. I would say both me and Jayne and use this one as our main image generator if we need to make an image, but they just improved even more. They have something called sketch lots of really exciting things to talk about today and how you could actually use this to make money. Before we get into that Jayne, why don't you tell him about our school community? Yeah, every week we have completely revamped our entire school community and every week we've been putting videos out for a couple years, but now we have created an entirely new experience with way more content and we have guides for every single lesson that we've teach. We basically have it set up. So now you can go in and pick a different path that you're going to take a different side hustle, whether that's growing and scaling the business you have, whether that's building a SaaS for the first time, whether that's becoming an AI consultant, whether
that's doing automated AI music or podcasting. So there's a bunch of different things we've talked about in the past, but we reorganize everything and rebuild it and are relaunching the school community's courses with updated stuff, updated information. So you're getting the freshest stuff there and we truly believe this is something that will help you grow and scale your business now. So we're really excited about this. We have over a thousand members in the school community. We've grown a ton over the last couple months up from about 300 to now over 1300 members. So yeah, we'd love for you to join school community. It's $19 a month, which is incredible, an incredible value for what you're getting over a hundred videos that Jamie and I have recorded on growing and scaling business using AI tools. So if you're not already a member of the school community, we would love to have you join and hopefully we will see you there. But talking about what's going on with OpenAI, this I love the image models out of OpenAI for basically all of the businesses I run. I'm using
it. It's interesting that you know, Claude, which was kind of my like go to AI model for so long, didn't have image generation inside of it. And I felt like OpenAI just crushed it with their last model. But I've been really impressed. They keep they keep coming up with with better models. And this new model, this new 2.5 has a bunch of really cool features to it. They specifically have like a whole feature set where they you can improve like old photos, you can sharpen old photos and you can change them. But they're very true to the old what the old photo looked like. So like if you have an old picture of yourself, you can change what you look like or what you are what you're doing. And it sharpens it really well, which if you use like the, I don't know if you've done this with Canva, Canva has a quote unquote AI upscaler and is flaming garbage. So yeah, I would highly recommend using OpenAI for this. But the new model is pretty cool. They have they have a bunch of demos that are pretty interesting where they're basically showing what the new image 2.5 does with the same prompt
versus what their image to did. And honestly, I thought their image too was great. But 2.5 really takes it to the next level with a lot more just the images are higher quality. The scenes look better. Everything looks a little bit more realistic. So it's kind of hard because with art, you know, it's there's a fine line. But I, yeah, I think so far they've done a great job with making Muth making some of the updates on this overall. They had like one demo where they were showing image GPT image 2 versus GPT image 5. And they said like, you know, generate high quality 150 high quality frames of a cube spinning. And they showed like the image to when it's kind of like glitchy when it bounces around. And they are showing 2.5 and it looks super smooth. So just being able to like really understand, I mean, that's just showing that from one image to the next doing tiny frames, it's basically they've created a video machine with their image machine because of how smooth all of this is going.
But have you, well, I don't know what are you, what are you thinking about this? Jamie, how are you, how are you going to be using this in your businesses? Well, I mean, one of the main major things that that we use it for here on the podcast is actually thumbnails for YouTube and for, you know, any place there would need to be an image thumbnail. And of course, you know, Jayden and I in the past in these old thumbnails don't really look that much like us. It's kind of has our likeness, but they're kind of these own, you know, AI characters that is generated. But with now with the new model similar to how it showed the cube spinning, it has, it has a full understanding of our likeness and can actually keep it that way. So then we, our character looks consistent across thumbnails. This could be also really useful if you are doing graphic design or advertising and you need to come up with a bunch of different, you know, creatives for, for an ad, having keeping a consistent character or consistent look of the same person across would be very important. But
I think it's really cool. A lot of that demo images are showing things that really just look creative and actually well designed. You know, there's been a lot of memes going around making fun of the like event posters made with AI and there's just like sketches all over it. And it's very identifiable. Yes, looks kind of like garbage. But these look really good. So I think they're kind of taking and stepping it up a level. And I'm really excited to get using it. But Jane, what are you most excited about? Okay, well, one of their features that I love, which by the way, if you're watching, if you're listening on Spotify, which I know is like a majority of our listeners, they're, this is all video is well too. So if we're ever talking about something, we're usually showing a demo on the screen. So you can go check it out if you're not already. But this one in particular was pretty impressive. It's called sketch and it's a new completely new feature they added in there where you basically can sketch something. So they have it like, they're sketching and it's like pretty crude sketches of just like, you know, like a rough draft of your garden. And you're like, I want like a pool
here. It's like, I mean, it's like, it's a, it's a back of a napkin sketch kind of thing. And then you say, turn this into the actual image of XYZ. I love this because it, I feel like you can get so much, so much detail. It has like some funny ones where it's like someone drew a sketch of like a crab and it actually turned it in. And then they're like, turn this into like an actual chair. And so it turned into a crab chair, which was kind of fun and cool. You feel like you actually made something. But I honestly think their garden example was the underrated one where they have a sketch of a garden that they were that they drew. And they had it turn it into an actual, you know, it's like a very kind of, you know, just basic layout of what their garden is. And they're like, turn this into an actual image of my garden. And it has like a top down view of what the garden could look like. And then it has a hyper realistic image of what your garden and your backyard could actually look like. So anyways, I love this concept. And you have to use the at symbol and then say at sketch inside of
chat. Shepty and then this thing pops up and you're able to actually go and use that. Yeah, I think I think that's sweet. We actually are having landscaping woes at our house and don't know how to how to really figure it out. But to be able to, you know, take a picture and sketch in like what we're picturing and then have a generator, I think would be super helpful. You know, up to this point, we've just been using words like, make this look, you know, modernize this or, you know, try to describe with words, but to be able to sketch it, I think is a really cool option as well. They're doing something else, which is really interesting called templates, which by the way, spoiler alert, it feels like, I don't know what you think, Jamie, but I feel like they're getting into competing with Canva territory where at some point, and I think I was talking about this on a podcast recently, I'm like, I don't know why opening I just doesn't go all in and just compete with Canva because they they have the best model for generating stuff and Canva has so many things and I love Canva for so long, but it feels like, I mean, they're going to get replaced soon with this new thing called head with called templates. You can choose something like a
logo template. And it gives you a whole bunch of ideas and examples of styles and you explain what you want. And then it can make it. It also has one where it gives you an example of your of different types of things that you want to generate graphics on. So you're like, I want to generate, you know, this graphic on a long sleeve, on a zip toady, on a mug, on a t-shirt, on a hat, on a keychain. Anyways, so they have like all these different templates. You pick one of those templates and it can put your logo or your, or your graphic onto those objects. And this is really similar to if you've done like print on demand businesses in the past, you know, they have those kind of things where you upload your logo and they show you what it looked like on a t-shirt. This is obviously going to be way better because it's actually generate an entire image with that like custom embedded into it. So I think this is, I mean, for people to print on demand, this is going to be a massive new upgrade. But honestly, for anything when it comes to like logo generation, so many of these things that we do come from templates. And so I think Canva is
going to get a run for the money on this particular feature. Oh, yeah. I mean, there's tons of potential there. If you could have a plug in with Shopify and then with Etsy and then with something like Printful and you could do it all within Chaget Bt, that would be awesome. You could basically get your whole store running just from Chaget Bt images. So that's super cool. I think one thing we haven't even talked about yet, that's a huge improvement is the latency. There's a 50% improvement in speed now with image generation, which is actually huge improvement. And I already, I already felt like they were getting pretty snappy with their image generation. But to be 50% faster, that's going to help so much with workflow, you know, being able to come up with different creatives. We've talked a lot of before about if you're doing ads on Facebook, you need to have custom creatives for each target person audience you're going for. So to be able to spin up a lot of these quickly is actually a huge value. So that's another exciting announcement. Yeah. And I wanted to say they actually technically
have two new image models inside of their API. So if you're inside of Chaget Bt, I think when you just ask it to generate something, it's going to pick what image model to use that it thinks would best help you. But if you have the API, meaning this is embedded into software. So for something like my AI box. AI, where I let you use, you know, 90 different AI models and test them all beside each other, the way that we'll be able to show this is that there'll be one called image 2.5 So it's basically all the same improvements for quality and editing and speed. That one has the 50% lower latency and it's probably going to be the default for most people doing stuff. So it's, you know, it's a big upgrade from the last model. But then they have another one called GPT image 2.5 sunbursts. And this is, they say it's quote, built for premium visual workflows that benefit from tighter controls across edits. Use it for creative and editing workflows. Like production ready campaign creative or polished product imagery. So basically what they're saying is you know, image 2.5 flair is going to be great for everything and it's a big improvement from
the last model. But if you want it to be really, really good and really, really perfect, you're going to want to use something like image 2.5 sunbursts. And it's just going to be, you know, like I think probably for if you're going to have a big banner on the homepage of your website, this is going to be the one that you're going to want to use. So really excited about all of these updates. I think there's a hundred ways to use these in every business. We'll keep you guys updated on how we're rolling this out inside of our own companies. And if you want to go check out the school community for some demos, tutorials and all that kind of good stuff, we'll leave a link to the school community growing and scaling your business with AI tools. It's only $819 a month. So it is an incredible value. We will catch you guys all in the next episode.
