Charlie Painter

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invites musician Charlie Painter for a Virtual Enlightenment Salon on music, philosophy, entrepreneurship, culture, and the connections among them. The conversation will delve into jazz music and the differences between it and classical music – including jazz in terms of attitude, preparation, pedagogy, and listening. Charlie Painter will share insights regarding his approach to improvisation and provide some practical demonstrations. 
Furthermore, Objectivist philosophy will be discussed, including Charlie Painter’s outlooks on Ayn Rand’s opinions as contrasted with Objectivist doctrine, morality/ethics, rational egoism, capitalism, the state of our current culture in terms of philosophy, free will versus determinism, and more.
