Channel Four Pulls Bake Off Episode Due to Scott Mills Allegations

They're pulling the final episode of the great celebrity bake-off for stand-up to cancer, because of serious allegations against contestant Scott Mills. The 53-year-old former radio-2 presenter faced a metropolitan police probe back in 2016 over claims of sexual offenses against A, teenage boy under 16 from 1997 to 2000. That episode also had rag-and-bow men, Edith Bowman, and Aston Merrigold lined up to bake. Channel 4 says they've waited all and feel it's not right to air it now, given how heavy the accusations are. They'll swap in a replacement episode instead, keeping the charity drive going without that one. Mills got the boot from the BBC after they got fresh details on the old case, even though they knew about the police inquiry since 2017. He stepped down as ambassador for MS Society UK, and neuroblastoma UK cut ties with him as their patron since 2021. Plus, he's off the BBC's race across the world spin-off podcast.
